"Oh My Love" makes me cry too... so does "Here Today", and last night I was listening to "Looking for My Love" and it brought me to tears.

[/ QUOTE ]

"Oh My Love" most definately!! Also, "Here Today", "Empty Garden" by Elton John, and "Leaving on a Jet Plane" by Peter, Paul, and Mary.

A song called Falling, it's in a movie. While watching that part of the movie today, when they play the song, made me bawl.

A song called "Burn Down the Mission" by Elton John for some reason.

"Empty Garden" (the tribute for John) makes HIM cry, though!

I don't cry, but "Time in a bottle" by Jim Croce, "You've got a friend" by Carole King, and "She" by Charles Aznavour are very touching ones for me.

I'm watching Breakfast at Tiffany's right now. I forgot how much 'Moon River' makes me bawl. The credits aren't even over, and I'm crying as I'm watching Audrey Hepburn eat a pastry and wander down the street with the song playing in the background.

"For the Battered" by Government Cheese and Tommy Womack (song about an abused woman)

Here are the lyrics--read them to the last line.

I once knew a girl who didn't have it all together
She thought she was fat, but she was light as a feather
She thought she was dumb, but she was no fool
Her man used to beat her, and that ain't cool
She really loved him; nobody knew why
The way he treated her would make a dead man cry
Domestic violence night after night
Her friends going on saying, "This ain't right!"
"He's just mad he can't get a job," she'd say
But you can't get 'em sitting on your butt all day
She paid for the trailer in the trailer park
Working at a Minit Mart walking home after dark
While her man's out running with his worthless friends
Life got to be a bunch of pain that never ends
And one night he came home, a drunken eyesore
He called her a bitch; he called her a whore
He hit her harder than he'd ever hit her before
The poor girl just couldn't take it anymore
So she went to a pusher and bought 30 Vs
Went to a bar and got a Long Island Tea
Took 'em all sitting in the corner all alone
Chilled for a second, and sank like a stone
And the place freaked out; an ambulance came
Some people there knew her--they knew who to blame
A posse went and found where her old man was
And said, "Excuse me--your ass is ours!"
And they took him for a ride; I don't know where
Gave him a lecture and made him aware
Of how to treat a woman whose heart is pure
To ram it all home and to make damn sure
He never ever tried to hit a woman again
They took a ball-peen hammer and busted up his hands
Now back to the woman--she's very much alive
They pumped out her stomach and when she revived
Her friends told her how her old man got his
And she disapproved--that's the kind of person she is
Disapproving, yeah, but like I said she's no fool
She dumped that sucker and went back to school
And got a new job and moved out of state
And got a new man who just can't wait
To treat her every night like a good man should
She never knew life could ever get this good
So let this be a lesson to all the men out there
Don't punch her in the belly--don't yank her by the hair
Karma's real...it's no bullshit
Don't make a bad case and get a face full of it
She oughta be held; she oughta be kissed
So give her your heart and NEVER YOUR FIST

There are too many wrist-slitting torch songs by Frank Sinatra to list, but here's two in memory of my Father:
"What'll I Do"
"Just As Though You Were Here"

"Treat Her Gently" in memory of Dolly.

"Heart Of The Matter" - Don Henley

Elvis Presley's In The Ghetto is a real tearjerker. Otherwise it's more what mood I'm in myself whether a song affects me to cry or not.

I always tear up during the song "When She Loved me" in Toy Story 2.
