Any plans for Valentines day?
My boyfriend and I plan to spend the whole day together. Valentines day is on a Monday and I only have one class to go to on Mondays. This means Lester will get to go to my math class with me. What fun. I don't really care for math, but I think my math teacher is rather cool. To me Valentines day should be every day. You don't have to buy things for the one that you love everyday, nor does the one you are with have to buy you something everyday. However it is always nice to show the person you love just how you feel about him or her. Words don't always cut it, actions speak louder than words. However it's still nice to hear the words I love you come out of Lesters mouth, as his eyes look deep into my soul. I love that. Valentines day this year will be the best valentines day I've ever had so far. It hasn't even come yet, but something just tells me this since I have never been this much in love before.I believe this year will be filled with surprices. I'll just have to wait and see what it brings. I just can't wait for the day.
On a lighter note, for those of you who are single and don't care for valentines day, I feel for you. I too once was an individual that could not stand valentines day. Here I was a high schooler back in the late 90's, single. I even had the same problem at the ages of 20 and 21. All these girls got flowers from their boyfriends, and I got zilch. Because of that, I had a low self exteem. I did however get the love and support from my mother. Instead of celebrating valentines day with a man, I celebrated it with my mother. Love comes in all shapes and forms. If it weren't for mothers, we wouldn't have life. Love from a parent, is the first love a living thing first recieves.

Re: Any plans for Valentines day?
The only plans I have for Valentine's Day so far is to be the room mom for my son's class. I get to bake and deliver cupcakes and then help the kids with handing out Valentine's Day cards. If time permits, then perhaps I'll make an extra nice dinner, but my husband and I typically don't do anything special on Valentine's Day. I'm not unhappy about it. It's just the way we are.

I don't really believe in Valentine's Day, but I do believe in going to Marshall Field's on the 15th and buying half priced fancy chocolates.

I'm married and I still think it's a dorky holiday.

Re: Any plans for Valentines day?
Valentine's is sort of a meaningless holiday for right now. So I might snack on a few cinnamon hearts, but that'll be the extent of my day.

Re: Any plans for Valentines day?
My fiance is buying me a quarter-million dollar house for V-Day this year. So I guess that takes care of Valentine (and birthday and Xmas and Sweetest Day) gifts for the next 30 years. The house is in gorgeous shape for the price--new windows, etc., so we're really going to save on energy bills and such. And the lady that's selling the house is SO nice--she bought a brand new washer and dryer for us, as "an early wedding gift" as she said it. She said she's glad that the house is going to such a nice couple. So, yes, this V-Day ranks up there at the top for me.

Re: Any plans for Valentines day?
I happen to like buying cards for my husband Jim, so I will give him a Valentine's Day card. Other than that, we might go somewhere for supper..we don't make too big a deal out if it.

Re: Any plans for Valentines day?
Monday is one of my busiest days. Plus I'll be housesitting for a friend. I doubt I'll do anything other than call my best friend because it will be her 25th birthday

Re: Any plans for Valentines day?
Since I don't have a Valentine, I bought myself some very nice shower gel and lotion. Your house sounds really cool, Tina! How nice of that lady to get you a new washer and dryer.

Re: Any plans for Valentines day?
Hmm...my boyfriend and I like buying things for each other as surprises, not when it's expected, so Valentine's day isn't of any importance. We'll probably go to dinner, but nowhere too nice- we're poor college students!

Re: Any plans for Valentines day?
My husband is always very romantic on Valentine's Day! We try to go out to dinner or do something special at home, and he usually gets me flowers or sometimes jewelry or something very special. I don't know what he has planned this year, but I intend to make it a very romantic day indeed for him!

Re: Any plans for Valentines day?
I might call my boyfriend and talk for a bit but otherwise it will be a normal day because he is so far away.
