Wendy, she is a very tragic figure. I feel sorry for her and I just cannot feel respect for her.

When I was new to Beatle Links, another member (who was a moderator at the time) posted about how she acted a fool on the rmb music boards. I lurked over there and let's just say that was a very mild description of her behavior. Fred Seaman was also a poster there and let's just say they were a ship of fools.

Ok, what are the rmb music boards? That's the 2nd or 3rd time I've heard (or, read, really! ) them mentioned here on the links and I've no idea what they are or what rmb stands for. Rubber May Bounce? Robert Must Be-Bop?

At any rate, to paraphrase a line from "The Breakfast Club," Francie Schwartz and Fred Seaman should get together and go bowling.

They deserve each other.

Well, now I'm really curious as to what Fred Seaman was saying in the newsgroup! Would someone kindly send me a PM, since it's a bit off-topic for this thread? I'd greatly appreciate it.

As for Francie Schwartz, I heard from a couple of Macca-L members that sometime after the interview, she began posting messages of a bitter and spiteful nature, which were increasingly offensive and insulting to Paul, and which eventually caused her to be banned from participating in the list. I also heard about the website, but as mentioned earlier, it was shut down a long time ago. I don't know its address, but anyone who remembers it and cares to visit the site again can probably use the Wayback Machine to see a copy of the old site: http://web.archive.org/collections/web.html

Thumbs down

Freda, when people say Francie acts a fool that is precisely what they mean. Ever since Paul jilted her in 1968, she has been spreading venom and vitriol about him and writing mean spirited things. Instead of building a life for herself that included other people, she has wasted decades of her life tearing somebody down who probably doesn't give her a second thought. Fred is just as bad in his own way. If those two go bowling together, they'd strike each other out.

Francie and Freddie were notorious for flaming people; dissing Paul and John respectively and generally stirring up trouble. They were an embarrassment to any board they posted on. They never seemed to realize that their behavior reflected badly on them and nobody else.

I doubt Ms. Francie has ever registered on Paul's screen after he showed her and her luggage the door and the window respectively.

Now who exactly is Fred? Is he a member of a Paul site
or does Francie know him personally?

I don't know if I can go to the Beatlefest '60's
dance with the name "Francie" now.

Honey, go! I wish I could attend a 'Fest 60s dance!

Be sure to wear your Beatle themed clothes and
Beatle coiff your hair!

Fred is a crackpot (said to be Fred Seaman, the
man who stole John Lennon's diaries) who is
infamous for starting flame wars. He and
Francie are two dodo birds of a feather -
let's hope they become extinct from the
message boards together!

Yes!

I found a pattern for a 1965 dress and
I also found a wig for my Francie look.

If I wear short hair, I'll be Midge.

To view a copy of her old site (late 2001 only!) type this address into the Wayback Machine: http://www.francieschwartz.com

She includes part of a review from Beatlefan magazine on her webpage:

BEATLEFAN Review of FRANCIE'S BOOT
Culled from a lengthy interview with Francie Schwartz - onetime Apple employee and McCartney girlfriend - done by radio producer Fred Lindgren for "the Beatle Years" in late '99, this eccentric disc (which opens with snatches of Zappa and the Mothers at the Filmore) is narrated by J.J. Jackson (the radio show's host). It traces Schwartz's story of her involvement with Paul and Apple. Schwartz says that, contrary to other sources, Yoko Ono did not participate in any take of "Revolution," but Schwartz says she sang backing with George. Mostly, these are stories she told in her book "Body Count", sometimes with a bit of elaboration. She tells about tensions in the White Album sessions, working at Apple, Paul and John, the "Mad Day Out" photo session and gives her take on "Hey Jude" (saying it's about her and Paul). She also offers a bit of amateur psychoanalysis of McCartney. Lasting just under an hour, it is at times self- serving, but it's an interesting story told by an articulate lady. (Derek Page, BEATLEFAN Magazine, #131)

There are a few other strange and interesting things on the page... :S

"Hey Jude" about her and Paul? Yeah right. In her mind, maybe. I don't know about you, but I think that when a gentleman shows you the door, little lady, chances are he's not gonna then turn around and write a song about letting you into his heart and trying to get you back.

I've heard of her and say one word and one word only: ABOSUTOLY 100% NUTS (ok 3 words sorta). And I really hope Paul did throw her suitcase over the wall. matter of fact I wish he threw her over the wall!

Ram, Paul DID show Ms. Francie the door and her suitcase the window. I really don't think he wants to revisit that point in his life.

Ms. Francie is a woman with a lot of problems and I hope she gets the help she desperately needs. I really think she is 6 cans short of a 6-pack.

Not really. I seriously think Ms. Schwartz is a very disturbed woman. Other Links members have had the bad luck of encountering her on other discussion boards and to say she acts a fool is to pay her a compliment.

I've checked out those boards; lurked in fact and I didn't like what I saw at all. She and this Fred dude have caused a lot of strife and trouble. I wish Ms. Schwartz could make a life for herself instead of making a career out of something that never was. Good grief!

Hey. I just learned about this too and I'm bored at work and scouring the internet about it! hah.

Anyway, here a link to a pretty lengthy interview with her. I say you find out all you want but don't believe her and just dream it was you hanging out with them and living with paul.

Monk, the woman is seriously disturbed. I find it sad that someone could be THIS ill and still see nothing wrong with her behavior.

Most people would not want to waste decades of their life bitterly denouncing another person or wallowing in self pity. I think that is what Ms. Francie did and no wonder Paul does not care to revisit that time in his life. I just wish she would get help and try to make a good life for herself instead of stirring up strife and trouble for others.

She is just not a person whose behavior commands respect. Until she recognizes that she DOES have major problems; acts a fool and has shifted her life into neutral, she will become a tragic casualty of a trivia chart statistic.
