Default Macca\'s \"Vanilla Sky\"

Has anyone listened to it yet? I'm curious to know your thoughts...

Here's a link to listen to it:

Yeah, I've heard it. It sounds exactly like "Biker Like an Icon". Maybe he needs to sue himself for plagarism!

Thank you allie, link! And I liked this song, melodic acoustic one (back to roots, lol) now I gotta listen to biker like an icon, which I don't really remember

I picked up the soundtrack tonight. I'd have to really strain to come up with it sounding like Biker Like An Icon, but I've heard someone else say that. It sounds much better on cd than over the net.

Yeah, and luckily he already owns the rights to the song!

Thanks for a VERY FUNNY comeback and yeah, I like the song. It does sound like "Biker Like an Icon," and I still like it.

You can almost start singing "she loved her biker like an icon, slowly watching precious water drift away", etc. But good song however.

Thanks for the link Alliesun. I have heard about the song and that it was on a soundtrack, but had forgotten about it, till I saw this topic again. So I've downloaded it from that site.

Not a song that I really like, it's just nice and yes it sounds like "Biker" (not my fav. McCartney song)I don't want to buy the soundtrack. I think R.E.M. is a good band, but unlike with Paul, I don't need to have everything they do. Think Peter Gabriel is great, but I rather buy his albums, there's a compilation with "Solsbury Hill" and Paul's song is just, well see above.

I know there's a thing called copyright. When I tried to put the song on a cd.r, it said that it doesn't recognize the soundfile, not a real surprise since it is WMA (Windows Media) , and with most if not all software it only recognises MP3 or WAV. Now I know there's another way to record the song on a tape, just connecting the cables from my stereo to my pc differently. But there's that (c) thing, but to buy a soundtrack just for a McCartney song I don't really like.
What do you think, did you buy the soundtrack, or is it on a single, or better is it somewhere on a site as an MP3 file.

Also it says that you can listen to the WMA file only for 30 days, what happens after that? You won't be able to open it again?
Think I've said enough, think I'm going behind my stereo to change the cables!

Try downloading it through Audiogalaxy. I also don't think it's worth buying the soundtrack just for a Macca song.

Is there a way to use Audiogalaxy without signing up. I tried that, altho I try to avoid doing that. All the usernames were taken, Legs, Stig, Sinan, Sloba, Fu**, upyours, Shit. In the end I just did, jklsdfkfg and ofcourse that one wasn't taken. But now I can't remember if I did klsdjfklsa or
ksjdlfiehf or jklsdfdi.le or kljsdlf.ej os what is my username?
Also it keeps asking me which state i'm living in, i'm not in the U.S. you know. And why does it need to know my age or e.mail?

You have to sign up (remembering your name of course... my sister got our name and wasn't taken at all), sorry, and they ask all those questions. But once you've done that it's a pretty good source of downloading music, even though they've started to block out some songs... Oh, and the user name problem stops when you've set up the cookies for your computer.

Speaking of the song, it is nominated for a Golden Globe for "Best Original Song".

Best original song for a song that isn't very original?

Yes... I bet those critics haven't even heard Off The Ground yet.
