LOL about the guy! One poor soul was checking out all the George tribute mags when I first spotted the Rolling Stone mag. Sadly, I reached in front of him & took the whole stack. You should've seen the look on the guy's face when I took the stack & walked up to the cash register!!!

That is hilarious. I needed a good laugh. The sad thing is is that I would probably do the same thing if given the opportunity.

Thanks for this great link.

Yeah, I didn't mean to be rude or anything. But it's like, do you want the tribute mag or not?

I saw there were a few there & knowing how many I needed, I counted. It was one short & I saw he had one in his hand. So, I just waited for him to decide to buy one or not. He put it back on the shelf, I said, "Excuse me", reached in front of him & took the whole stack! He looked SHOCKED!!!

Don't mess with us George lovers! We've got business to take care of these days!!! Just get out of the way! LOL!

There are two Rolling Stones out now.

One is the special ad free one with the copper trim

The other is a regular issue, I saw it at Blockbuster but all the copies they had were so nastied up I couldn't bring myself to spend upwards of 4 bucks on it and as of yet I haven't found it elsewhere.

For those of you who aren't in the UK, there is a magazine there called "Hello!".

Once in a while you can find it around the States. George is on the latest, evidentally! (The scoop is from a friend in Canada!)

Happy hunting!

I just picked up what turned out to be the last copy of Rolling Stone (cover dated as Jan. 17, 2002) at Barnes & Noble. Although I normally loathe the hell out of Rolling Stone, I have to say they've done a good job with this issue, as well as the special tribute issue they put out a couple of weeks ago. Although it seems to be a rarity these days, Rolling Stone did come through with flying colors on this one (IMHO). I'm still waiting for that Goldmine tribute issue to hit the stands, though.

My final count is that I have all the US magazine tributes released except for Newsweek. That's not bad. I haven't read much more then the captions on the pictures and such as of yet. I can't quite bring myself to really read them it seems too final.

In the Entertainment Weekly with Russell Crowe on the cover there is a one page memorial to him written by DMC from Run-Dmc. It's a very nice tribute.
