I just got my Entertainment Weekly in the mail and George is on the cover. It has a fairly long article on him and some fantastic pictures of him not that we all haven't seen many of them before. Just to let you know it is the DEc 14 issue.

FPSHOT brought up a good point...

Hey all...

I don't care what language the articles are in. I'll figure out what they say. I collect anything from anywhere.

Thanks!

The Dutch press sofar has not done much, other than the usual articles with his Beatles period, then mentioning a few lines about his solo work and the Wilbury period. Average stuff.

Radio footage was much better. The president of the Dutch Beatles Fanclub showed up a few times and he had more background details and bootlegs of George.

I agree! People did and excellent job with theirs. Of course, Us magazine didn't do too shabbily either. I'll have to keep my eye out for the others, though. I'm also wondering if Goldmine will to do a tribute issue to George? Time will tell on that one, I suppose.

Wow! Great info everyone! Thanks!

I'll look for the Entertainment Weekly! Haven't seen that yet.

Don't worry FPSHOT! I've already got a nice collection of things for ya! No need to worry about what I get in return. I'm happy to help out, ok?

I may have missed "Time". Got People and Us and need to get Rolling Stone and Entertainment Weekly. I've got most of the local papers from the first weekend in December. Macca twist, are you looking for originals, or will photocopies work for some things? Let me know.
I staarted my first scrapbook in oh, I guess maybe '78, but lost interest after John died.(couldn't stand to see 1940-1980) I did a picture scrapbook after that tho'. Haven't looked at it in ages. Think I'll dig it out and show my kids (ages 6 & 3). They're well on their way to becoming Beatle fans!

Can any of you overseas get it? I know Rolling Stone magazine is in other countries, but I wanted to check with you.

I haven't seen Us around Detroit, even in suburban stores. In the city, they still have the Taliban women cover of Time, but the George People is easily gotten. Have yet to see Entertainment Weekly or RS,but at times we get magazines a few weeks late.

Drat! I missed "Time". I went to at least 25 newsstands, drugstores, grocery stores and bookstores within the last week and never found a single copy! Now the new issue is out. Grrrr.

Did manage to get all the others though...haven't had time to read them (work is a bear this week), but the pictures are lovely....

Same for me,Rolling Stones, People, US, Entertainment Weekly, Time, a special issue of I don't know which magazine, Newsweek... I couldn't read them already, and I missed the US Time, (I got the Europe one, with a different cover, even tho it was the same article inside) whose cover was beautiful... isn't it that someone can scan it?

Oh anything will work, I started photocopying pictures from various books for the pictures of when he was alive and during the Beatles years. But then I even cutted up used Calenders after the year was over with, I'd cut each beatle out and put them in their assigned folder, lol. I'm very organized when it comes to their pictures you know. Ringo I haven't started a scrapbook yet, because...well...um..I dont have enough of him yet.

but of course Pauls scrapbook is FAT and when I mean fat..I mean his is a 3 ring One inch notebook thing..and hes got ALOT of pages in there, so but I might move some pages into a bigger book or something, i'm not sure yet, because I wanna keep working on Georges, being of the recent event, and I just wanna focus ALL of my attention on George at the moment........
