Default Re: Anthology Book

The LENNON ANTHOLOGY book has been pushed back, not the Beatles' one. It is due on my doorstep on Oct 5th... Beatlefest has the books, and is trying to schedule all deliveries of it for the 5th of October.

Here in the Netherlands the book is priced NLG 149, which is about $60 or GBP 40.

I have ordered my copy on booksamillion.com.

for which I thank Bearkat.

Otherwise I would have done it on Amazon, but the difference in price according to the reply above goes to the LenMac family-fund.

I don't know when I'll be able to read it. I can't buy it myself, (I can't afford it), and I doubt I'd get it as a present. Maybe I'll stick my name on a library waiting list, and I'll be able to read it in about 67,986,943,645,978 years.

Well, you have been able to read a lot about it in the various previews as also shown here.

Just enough previews to wet your appetite. Only a couple of more days, and I'll have it.

There is a Lennon Anthology book? OMG! I wonder when they will have preorders for that. I ordered my Beatles Anthology book at borders.com..i hope I get it on the day I'm not at school lol 'cause my mom said if I get it before her I can have it. If not, I have to wait. Knowing her, she will probably let me have it then and there. She's just messing with me 'cause she loves to. Gotta love your mommy.

They just showed the book on the news. It's huge! I was thinking it was a little dinky small book (stupid me) but it's pretty good size. Stores are opening at midnight to sell it. I hope I get mine in the mail tomorrow! lol

ok, here is something I didn't know. It is in the book. Remember how on the main board I asked about Pauls false teeth? Well, the story goes into why they grew moustaches. Paul had a moped accident and lost his 2 teeth and his upper lip was swollen and so he thought 'well, i know they will be taking lots of pictures of me and they will end up in one of those teeny boppers magazine" so he grew a moustache to hide the swelling!! I never knew that.

Me too, Harb. I was looking forward to it, and mentioned it in the presence on my 8-year-old who excitedly announced that she was going to get it for me for Christmas.

She loves giving books as presents and I don't want to dampen her enthusiasm.

I was at a store today, and I looked through the book real quick. In one word...amazing. There are so many pictures that I've never seen before - and like everybody here, I've seen a lot of pictures. They really made an effort to include certain shots from well known photo sessions that they knew nobody had seen before.

I was going to buy it on Amazon through my link here, but I've seen the price go from $48 to $36 to $42 and back to $48. Does anybody know what's going on there? There's no tax on the internet, but you've got to add shipping costs. I'll probably just drive down to a book store tomorrow and buy the thing.

There you go again with those British dates! Even though the rest of the world does it your way, this is a U.S. forum, so use the proper date format.
Anyway, the book is really sweet. I can't wait to put on the White Album, sit back, and start reading. From the little I've read so far, it's gonna be great.
