Somewhere in my many tomes of Beatle-lore, I'd read that, early on, his favorite cologne was Tabac. Perhaps...? (I wonder if they even still make that?)

Yes, it's still on sale! Well, it is in the UK anyway.

I was surprised that the UK has it already... we just filed for UK distribution. Did it say how long it would take to get to you?

I'm sure that tall sexpot with the thick wavy hair was much more delicious and delectable than ANY chocolate!

Unless you count his chocolate colored wavy hair!

Damn, he was sexy!

FPSHOT, this woman does not relate everything to chocolate. I could easily live without chocolate, but think about it now - who would want to live without George Harrison as part of their lives?

Men also have their chocolate quirks, so let's not make it a gender bias thing. I'll take some delicious asparagus over chocolate any day. (I realize that may put me in the minority, but c'est la vie).

Oh good Lord! Wouldn't that make an interesting thread all on its own?! Of course, it may have to be heavily censored!

Just sharin' this with you...

My friend, Shelly spied this Amazon review for "A Date with a Beatle" and mailed it to me in case I didn't see it!

Now THIS woman felt that George thing like we did! That's for sure! :)

WOO-HOO!!!

5 stars*****
"If I had this book when I was 12 and just discovered the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, I would have read it until it fell apart. Oh, the memories!"

See... even now, almost 50 years later... they've still got that magic!!!!!

I love those guys.

You want to sprinkle what? George's wavy hair or the book and sprinkle the pages? Whassup with that?

Judy, I love those guys too. Especially the adorable bass player and the tall, intense sexpot most people mistook for being saturnine and taciturn. You know the one - he had wavy hair and rocked the heck out of "I'm Happy Just to Dance With You" and his only sister came through like the Calvary and nursed him back to health in 1964 so he could play on television with the other boys!

See, the Beatles without George would have been like Chrysler without Dodge; the cone without the ice cream; the American Leage without the Red Sox (Go, Boston!), Chrysler without Dodge and you get the idea. It ain't the Beatles without George! Simple as that.

Let's Louise for nursing George back to health.

Physically he was wearing a grey chesterfield jacket, white shirt (sorta wrinkled except for the collar which looked like it had LOTSA starch... his matching pants were a bit wrinkled ... and his black boots had heels that looked about 2" high were very highly polished... no rings, no watch... no necklace...

And he smelled like a cross between cigarettes and wonderful cologne. :)

He looked like he napped in a chair in those clothes.... but he was just beautiful... I mean it, THIS was a very, very handsome man!

::::Sigh::::
George WAS sexy - he did exude that masculine sex appeal, but I find the stench of cigarettes a turn off. Damn shame he and his father Harold Sr. smoked themselves to death.

Pat Kinzer Mancuso knew the senior Harrisons; the Harrison siblings and their families. She said Harold Sr. smoked like a chimney, but Louise (French) was a non-smoker. Some have speculated that Louise may have become ill over time by taking a direct hit of second hand smoke as the Harrison boys smoked. George's sister was the only non-smoker among the Harrison 4.

I wonder what kind of shampoo and conditioner he used for his beautiful wavy hair. I'm sure his crowning glory had a pleasant aroma.

Truthfully, George Harrison is/was and always will be the platinum standard for being a "Sexpot."

He's lucky I was a semi-naive 16 year old when I met him. :)

Oh, MY! Did I just say that???!!!! .... :)

Ah, the merits of George's wavy hair notwithstanding, BB, I was referring to the Tabac cologne it was rumored he'd worn - Valerie says it is still sold in the UK.

I think you girls would find George's cologne an aphrodisiac because the platinum standard with the wavy hair used it!

Seriously, George WAS the platinum standard for a sexpot. He had a beautiful body; a high level of intelligence; was also gifted creatively; was gifted at natural expression; had beautiful wavy hair and the Louise cheekbones and the Franco-Harrison smile. Damn, that Beatle was fine! He was just too damn fine for words to serve him.
