Default 30 second clips of Remastered 'Revolver' songs now on Amazon

You can now listen to 30 second clips of the remastered 'Revolver' on the Amazon Beatles store. It's on the upper right hand side. It's probably not the best representation of them but what do you think?

The vocal on Elenor Rigby isn't double tracked, which seems to be a sign that the tracks, or at least some of them have been completely remixed, rather than being a transfer of the finished master. Yellow Submarine is also mixed differently.

Everything sounds crisp, loud and awesome and I can't wait another day.

They sound exactly like the 1987 CD, same mix exactly, just a little cleaner and punchier.

Can't say much from these samples either.
Seems like the 1987 cd's just louder, which I can't say is a good thing. But it's dificult to judge when it's just mp3 samples through pc loudspeakers.

I compared them with mp3's of the old cd's and I can't really hear a difference. They are louder indeed, but that's it. It doesn't make me think 'Wow, that's different!'

Maybe they sound totally awesome and different with top quality headphones or speakers or something. I haven't listened to them myself. I always imagined that the remastering would just really provide a cleaner sound.

i can hear a difference. they do sound better. not by much, but enough. anyway, they have been slighty loudness compressed, and are presented here as "quality compressed" mp3 files, so in reality they will probably sound even greater. the double tracking referenced above is the correction of a mistake in the original mix wich made auto double tracking run into "El-an".

The Amazon samples are not for judging sound quality, really, but to determine what song it is, or so it seems to me.

FYI, 30 seconds is the limit before the broadcaster must pay royalties.

That mistake was made in the first verse and you can't hear that verse on amazon.

The acoustic guitar on "I'm Only Sleeping" is the most notable difference I'm hearing on Revolver. Sounds much clearer.

To echo everyone else, I agree mp3s are probably not the best representation of the remasters. The White Album samples are the ones that really stand out for me. But I guess we'll just have to keep waiting until September to really judge these.
