I'm really glad that people are waiting so avidly for the new issue, but it may not be up until late tonight or tomorrow morning. I'm sorry, but my life does not solely revolve around Rooftop Sessions, and with a young child and elderly parents, sometimes I'm off by a day or two. Sometimes it happens, what can I say?

It'll be done when it's done -- until then, enjoy the archives!

Oh, no, honey, I know that....I didn't mean to sound so testy! It was just a hell of a week, you know, and so I felt like maybe I wasn't getting it done fast enough! I wasn't trying to make you feel bad either, I hope I didn't! And I'm GLAD you enjoy the archives!

Hello readers!

Apologies for the slight delay in sending this email -- sometimes "real life" gets in the way of posting the new issue. However, better late than never, and so it's time once again for another issue of ROOFTOP SESSIONS, the monthly e-zine featuring the finest in Beatles-related fiction!

There is one special announcement this month -- Rooftop Sessions Editor Susan Ryan will be a special guest at next week's New York Metro Fest for Beatles Fans, to be held at the Crowne Plaza Meadowlands in Secaucus, New Jersey. I will be moderating a fan fiction/poetry reading on Saturday night at 9:45, and a fan fiction discussion panel on Sunday at 12:15. I will be joined by another special guest, Linda Schultz, editor of the fab book "Tales of the Awesome Foursome." Additionally, Linda and I will have a table in the Dealer Room -- please stop by to say hello! It is always a pleasure to meet readers face to face, and the Fest is one of the best ways to do that!

And now, without further ado, we present the April issue -- which contains four stories for your enjoyment!

"The Answer's At The End" by Lisa N. Collins - A young woman, born in the Golden City during the height of Flower Power, discovers more than 35 years later that she met her favorite Beatle when he made a short visit to San Francisco the Summer of 1967.

"Nowhere Man - Part 10" by Angel Godiva - In the conclusion, the last remaining obstacle that could betray John and Mavis to the outside world is removed.

"Paul's Boxers - Part 5" by Elizabeth Darcy - Paul realizes he's gotten in way over his head with Charley, and determines to help her win the REAL man of her dreams...

"Please Hold" by Lisha Goldberg - It's funny what can happen due to those mix-ups at the phone company...

As usual, there are email links at the end of each story so you can contact the authors and tell them what you think of their work. And also as usual, the URL is http://www.rooftopsessions.com .

Enjoy the April issue -- and if you're going to be at the Fest next weekend, please do stop by and introduce yourself!

Susan Ryan

If she wants to join the mailing list so she gets the updates herself, tell her to send me an email with MAILING LIST in the subject line...then she won't have to wait for updates!

Do let the authors know what you think of their stories!

It's alright, Susan. I knew you weren't trying to make me feel bad; I didn't word what I said so well. It's been a hell of a week here too! Either way, I'm glad to read more about Paul's boxers!!

Are you an AOL member? Sometimes it takes a few days for AOL to update their cache of the page from the previous month. I can assure you absolutely that the new issue is up and that it works for me, I have no control over when your ISP updates their cache. This has been a problem for AOLers for the entire time the site has been running.

If it doesn't work in a few days, let me know, but I don't think there's anything I can do. It's not from my end. Sorry.

That actually happens often... For some oddball reason, if you're using AOL (and sometimes other internet providers) to look at pages on the Internet, it takes a few days for any changes on Rooftop Sessions to show up. Why this happens is still beyond me (and Susan--she's noticed it as well).

Just a quick note...the May issue is going to be delayed for several days. We just got back from vacation last night and are severely jetlagged and trying to catch up on a week's worth of stuff. I will post an announcement when the new issue is complete.

Take your time, Susan! We sure can wait. Running up a wall in expectation, of course, but waiting nonetheless! :)
