and a question: October seems to be coming up, so i would like to know if October issue of RS will be ready on Friday next week or maybe later. Because the September issue was done... as far as i know... sometime in the middle of the month..

[/ QUOTE ]

I should have it ready by Friday, but as I am going away for the weekend Friday night, it might be late. I do not know at this point, it depends on whether I have time to work on it this week, and in that I have a lot of OTHER things going on in my life, it may be or it may not be.

Sorry to be so vague, but I cannot tell you more than that. I don't get paid to produce Rooftop and I don't charge people to read it, so my personal life sometimes really does have to take precedence over anything else, even the new issue. May I suggest that you send me an email asking to be added to my email list so you get an announcement whenever the site updates? That can save you a lot of hassles.

Hope that answers the question, anyway!

She bought it directly from Tina -- you can go to her website (the link is in her sig) for info on how to order books, and she'll sign them for you. (Though I think BB may have gotten hers directly from Tina at Beatlefest last year...)

Um, Sadie, Tina is Beatlegirl9977. There's a link for email in her sig, or send her a private message.

Stories from Rooftop ARE on her directory, as is the 'zine as a whole.

I was answering Georgia's direct question about the next issue, which is permissable since she did ask it here.

It IS okay for topics to take a tangent or two now and then (says the moderator). If I thought it was getting too far off topic, I would steer it back, but since it IS a discussion of fanfic that is included on the directory, I think it's fine.

Maybe no one wants to discuss the other stories right now, I don't know.

I haven't had a lot of time lately to read anything listed on the directory. The only ones listed that I've read are the "old-school" ones (Aviva Rothschild's, etc.), and I read those years ago. I don't know... it's really hard for me to find something to ring my bell fan fic-wise lately.

Yay, I love this story... ("Dreams") Oh, I like all the stories from Cheryl Mortenson, I think she's very great and talented writer! Does anybody know if she's still writing for month issues of RS? I would LOVE to read something new from her. She's inspired me in so many ways! (I'm writing fanfics and another stories too, but only in czech, and I'm not able to translate it, so I can't share, which I would really like to do)

Well, I can actually write about anything. My notebook is full of various stories, some of them are complete and some are not (incomplete stories are in majority). There is a lot of fanfics... of course, I write not only fanfics, but even these non-fanfics are still kinda beatles-like, comedy (very very dark humour ) and even something like romance - despite the fact I don't like this style much. It's a pity you can't read them, because to describe you what they're about is very difficult, to be true. They are all about plenty of things! Basically, I'm rather a poetry writer, so my stories are sometimes too much poetic. And a little abstract, too My sister always wonders how can I write down something like that..
And btw, czech language is fairly complicated. Even the native speakers sometimes use wrong forms! Just ask Paul, he spoke czech at the Prague concert!
But it's a beautiful language. For one single word in english we can use for example ten different words.

Well thanks. I think writing is great. I do it for therapy in a way. I have always liked to write. When I was younger I wrote more poetry, but now I like stories. I doubt I am very good but it helps me 'find me',lol. Keep it up

Yeah, that's true. It kinda helps me as well when I'm depressed or something. I'm very much into writing. I love it. I can do it all day, I even spent all my summer holiday writing.

hiya!!!

I was just wondering... do you have to send in one story at a time, or can you just maybe link a website to yours?? Let me know, I have about three stories ready.

Well, she just linked Rooftop as a whole to her site for me...though I think a few individual stories are also featured.

BTW, welcome back, Vee!!!!

She listed all three of my stories individually in the directory, which I'm sure she can do for you as well.

At any rate, there are ordering instructions for her book on her website, as there are on Rooftop for the Fiction Digest, in case anyone is wondering. And there are links in Tina's sig to her website, and in mine to Rooftop.
