In 1964 which two people did John Lennon say influenced the writing of "In His Own Write" ?

Sure. They were an American actor and actress who had very probably nothing to do with the book!

I'd say Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Barton, but I think both of them are Brits, and I don't even think they knew each other in 1964...so, that's wrong.
American actor and actress could be anyone. The net has been cast so wide.

OK so let's narrow things down.
They were both big American film stars but they weren't married and I'm pretty sure they were never in a movie together.

Clue : John said this in an interview. So if you find the interview, you'll have the answer.
