... none of them replied something along the lines of "... why do I have to pick one or the other and not both ?" ?
Oh yes, several refused to answer. A few also picked George, one or two picked Ringo, someone chose Keith Richards, one person picked Lou Reed... and yes, one person said, "Lennon, McCartney, and Martin."

LOL ~ Well, I'm sure you know Robert Deniro. He said "Yeah, Lennon."

Yeah after thinking about it I would choose "Lennon & McCartney" as songwriting team (even though we all know after about 1965 they started writing less and less with each other) you have to also wonder if these people were making their selections based on solo works?
Very good film! Yeah, I didn't know everybody, but it was a wide variety of entertainers. Seemed to cover a lot of genres and generations. Nobody said...'never heard of them' That's pretty amazing.
It's like asking... cake or pie?

I had issues with some of the responses...I may have to turn it into a post one day, but what is up with this generalization that John was the lyrics man and basically that was his greatest strength that Adam Duritz may have been trying to explain (granted he was rambling and I was getting a little restless) Um, wait? Because I'm pretty sure John wrote LOADS of memorable, classic, catchy, and sublime melodies we still sing.
Ok...that is all.

Or that Paul had a better voice.John had a great voice just like Paul.
Thanks for calculating the totals, Chris! Although I agree with the comment you made about John's voice (I find it curious that the filmmaker included those particular comments), I can't sweat anyone about their reasons for preferring one over the other.
I was a little surprised, though, that my boy Steve Jones was a Paul guy... he once did a cover of Jealous Guy that was actually pretty sweet. (Unfortunately, he removed it from You Tube.)
