We all know that The Beatles were fascinated by America and now they had conquered it.

Listening to the official CDs how many US states can we hear named when they sing ?

To avoid any contestation please give the state and the name of the song where we can hear it.

How many points is this question worth? Fellowgardner is in the lead by a long shot, and no one will be able to catch up in two days.

Just states, right and not cities?

Official CDs is that just the major album releases?

I know they name a few in 'Sweet Little Sixteen': PA for Pennsylvania, Texas

'Get Back': Arizona, California

'Back In the U.S.S.R': Georgia

This is were things get confusing with 'official CD' release for me. This is from the album Live At the BBC. Is that considered an official release?

'Johnny B Goode': Louisiana

'Memphis, Tennessee': Tennessee

If we provide too much information, do we still get the question, right?

For me an official CD is ... a CD with a little Apple on it. You can usually, but not always, find it on the spine.

Back in the USSR; Georgia (I realize they are referring to the Russian city of Georgia. But it's also a US state. And it's named.)

All OK except for Georgia which is not a Russian city but an independent country of five million people.

In 1968 it was part of the Soviet Union which is why it's mentioned in Back In The USSR.

It is not therefore the American State.

But you're in luck because of this :

"Way down South they had a jubilee
Them Georgia folks they had a jamboree"

which you will no doubt recognise as coming from Rock and Roll Music.

So I can consider your answer to be correct since you found all the states.
