I received word today that Sir Paul McCartney will have his own art exhibit opening in Liverpool this year. It will be his first major art exhibit in the UK.
A spokesperson for the National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside says they have been talking to McCartney for more than a year to persuade him to put his paintings on exhibit at NMGM's prestigious Walker Art Gallery. McCartney agreed, and the exhibit will be on display from Oct. 12 through Jan. 2002.
"It's slightly different from music...it's slightly more like a world you go through," McCartney said about his art. "The painting creates a door, you can go through it into another world. You can go into a little bit of a trance while you're doing it," he said.
What does everyone think about this?
