Lennon's art on display at Hard Rock Hotel
"The Camel Dances" is part of John Lennon and son Sean Lennon's "Real Love" art series that will be displayed at the Hard Rock Hotel.
"Imagine: The Artwork of John Lennon," a collection of original drawings, hand-signed pieces and limited edition prints by the late musician, will be on display today and Saturday in The Joint at the Hard Rock.
The exhibit includes more than 100 pieces of art created by Lennon from 1968 through 1980, including some new releases; a collection of original drawings; works from the original "Bag One" suite hand-signed by Lennon in 1970; plus serigraphs, lithographs, copper etchings and aqua tints of Lennon's drawings.
Presented by Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, and the Hard Rock, the exhibit will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission to the exhibit is free.
In addition, Classic Albums Live, a 17-piece band, will perform the Beatles album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" at 8:30 p.m. today and Saturday at the Hard Rock. Tickets for the performance are $20 to $35.
