Yeah, it is profoundly sad. Naturally gifted artist. But Stevie Wonder saw it coming. I knew there was trouble. When somebody that young and talented w that kind of career potential just falls off the radar, you can bet they're up to no good.

So sad to learn about her death.

I wish she had someone to keep her on track as far as possible and protect her.

She was so talented.

Brings Janis Joplin to memory just for a second but keep focus on Amy Whinehouse who gave us a lot.

RIP Amy.
I would have loved to see you in concert....
We've all seen it coming, but we all hoped it would not happen.

Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix....

Unhappy

Tragic, simply tragic. She was a phenomenal talent, and now another member of the 27 Club.

Bless you, Amy... and thanks for the great music. Hope you have found the peace that eluded you for so long.

Here's a link to an article, but looks like they haven't confirmed the cause of death yet... although looks like we all have a pretty good guess already.

The 27 club: the musicians who played fast and died young
Dying at the age of 27 has placed Amy Winehouse in a line-up of music greats who died tragically young.

I wasn't a big fan of Amy Winehouse though when I first saw her on television I thought she was a breath of fresh air, but I'm saddened by her passing. I guess the main reason is that it goes to show that no matter how famous, beloved, etc., she was, no one could help her. Not one. Unfortunately, she's one of the minions that have perished this way and she's not the first and most certainly won't be the last..

Heartbreaking, in part, because of its inevitability. I have been listening to her music a lot today.

Could one of the mods either lock this or delete it please. No sense having two of the same threads. Thank you.
