Thumbs up ULTIMATE John Psychdelic masterpiece

I wish I was born with patience, but I gave you all about 12 minutes to vote in that original psychedelic thread 4eyes made and no one bit. So I am making an ultimate poll regardless of your feelings. You can attack me all you want, but in the end you took too long and that is it.

But I am not completely without a heart, so I will select the 4 songs that were voted upon since I guess I could have waited a little longer. These are the choices:

Strawberry Fields Forever
I Am The Walrus
Rain
Revolution #9

Yeah the last one. I wonder if anyone will actually consider it in the ultimate. Anyways, please [i]vote[/b], but also express yourselves if you feel that all the choices do no represent YOUR personal opinion of John's greatest psychedelic masterpiece. Ok. Bye.

Nothing is real
And nothing to get hung about

A masterpiece... and psychedelic. A groovy combination, ya dig?

Smile Nothing short of...

the greatest song ever written in the 20th century: "Strawberry Fields Forever."

Ok? No other words need be said.

Absolutely not, Maia. SFF is a song that touches the deepest core of my being and takes me on a trip no other musical art can compare with. I think it is THE single greatest pop/rock song of the 20th century- and of course The Beatles most magical and untouchable moment (others may say "A Day In The Life" but I am pretty sure I'm correct).

Angry Aaargh..

.... I voted by accident for the wrong song while watching t.v., what a shame... (SFF instead of I'm the walrus ).

Anyway, although "Strawberry fields forever" is my all-time-favourite song, it's not the the most typical psychedelic song to me.

"I'm the walrus" is such a special song with such special and confusing lyrics. This song had a great impact for me when I heard it for the first time; I just couldn't stop to listening to it again and again and again First, I was only impressed by the music and years after, when I learned English, I began to interest me for the lyrics. Actually, it's this song that I began to interest me for all the lyrics of John's compositions.

I find the atmosphere of "I'm the walrus" very psychedelic. SFF is similar, but not as outstanding and originally like "I'm the walrus".

I am the eggman!!!

My 7 year old boy (see him in the John is everywhere thread) adores Walrus. He sings it "I am dee eggmonn" in his best first grader Scouse.

I never found SFF to be too far out there. It's a real location, etc.

Default Strawberry Fields by a hair...

Walrus being a damn close second.

I'm sorry, Revolution 9 is not psychedelic. It's just psycho.

Music to have a nervous breakdown by.

I'm damn near 50 years old and I STILL need someone else in the room with me to listen to Revolution 9 in its entirety. Otherwise I am overwhelmed by feelings of nightmare anxiety and fear.

How cute. Ugh, I want a son just so I can have an excuse to sing "Beautiful Boy" to him.

I can't tell you how many times I played that song when our first boy was born. Countless times. More than the number of holes in Blackburn Lancashire perhaps. At least it feels like that many! Pre iPod days and my singing voice atrocious, I used the CD and let John sing it.

The kid is 15 now. Good memories.
