Default Paul's Masterpiece with the Beatles is...

What was Paul's definitive masterpiece with the Beatles?

For me, it's Hey Jude. LIB is my favorite song, but as far as uniting people, the lyrics, all the Beatles joining in and contributing a lot during the anthemic coda, it's Hey Jude that's the masterpiece.

Well, this seems an unlikely choice for me to make, but I think that "Penny Lane" best displays Paul's musical genius. It's a little story, which is great. It's a little avant garde, which I think is cool cause he enjoyed that stuff so much. The tune is catchy and great in itself. His ideas for the instrumentation on it are wonderful... who thinks to put a piccolo trumpet on a rock song? And they way that he wrote what the piccolo trumpet played? Great. Great, great, great, great, great.

I was tempted to choose the medley from Abbey Road but I picked Hey Jude instead.

I'm really surprised that 'Here, There and Everywhere' wasn't listed. That's one of Paul's best ever songs IMO.

Let it be or Blackbird. Blackbird is the purest song he ever did. Practically perfect. In fact possibly one of the most perfect songs I have ever heard. Words fail to even describe Let it Be.

Fool on the Hill should be on that list in my opinion.

I went with For No One because of my own personal feelings towards it.

Try clicking on one of the highlighted numbers in the "Votes" column, Frightwolf. That should bring up the list of voters.

"Hey Jude". The ultimate rock anthem and the song that got me into The Beatles.
