The piano intro to "Martha My Dear" (always makes me think of the English countryside on a cloudy day)
Ringo's drumming on "She Said, She Said" (identical to, and just as good as, his drumming on "Rain").

... how Paul's vocals on "Honey Pie", "Now she's hit the big time!", get that old-time Vitrola phonograph treatment.

i love that, too! it's so deadpan.
i remember reading somewhere that in the end of a song, paul goes kinda crazy and starts barking like a dog. i listened to the song, and you can hear it, if you turn it up, but i can't remember which song it was! it's driving me crazy...
ok, i just found it--it's at the end of "i feel fine", about 2:14 min. into the song. whew, i feel so much better now!

I used to think that sound was a guitar sped-up to sound like someone was playing really high notes really fast.
But, it's an instrument called a clavioline. I think John played it.

The 'honking sound' at the very end of "All Together Now".
I was 5y/o when I first got a Beatles album.
Yellow Submarine[1968].
Seemed like such a funny thing to hear at the end of a song.

i can just picture the beatles going, "hey, d'you think we could get a goose in here for the end of 'all together now'?" not sure if george martin would have let them bring an animal into the studio, but that noise does sound exactly like a goose.

i just finished listening to abbey road (yay!), and the part where paul sings, "golden slumbers fill your eyes, smiles awake you when you rise! sleep, little darling, do not cry...and i will sing a lullaby" absolutely blew me away. he sounds so SEXY when he does the growl/sing thing: "smiiiiles AWAKE you..." i had a big, goofy grin on my face. the man could sing!

What immediately springs to mind for me is the honky tonk solo on Rocky Raccoon, John's backing vocal on Yellow Submarine and Ringo's drumroll on Come Together

Okay, here we go...
- The piano intro in Lady Madonna
- The background vocals in the verses of Help
- The little piano part after Paul sings "dragged a comb across my head" in A Day In The Life
- John's little "aahs" before the last two choruses in Ticket To Ride
- Paul's vocals on Paperback Writer
- The piano solo in Lovely Rita
- The way John pronounces the word "girl" in Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
- The descending chord intro on I Am The Walrus
- John and Paul's harmonies on Day Tripper
- The bassline on Getting Better
- The country guitar solo on All My Loving
- The way John sings "You can talk to me" in Hey Bulldog
- Ringo's vocals on Boys
- Happiness Is A Warm Gun - The odd beat pattern during the "Mother superior" part
- The energetic "yeahs" in It Won't Be Long
- John's accent in Polythene Pam
- The echo on John's vocals in Magical Mystery Tour
- The sweet sounding chords after the verses in Mother Nature's Son
- The contrast between the verse and chorus in She's A Woman
- The feedback on I Feel Fine
- The guitar and bass doubling eachother on Old Brown Shoe
I could go on forever....
