Default Got gas?

Out of curiosity, what is the most and least expensive prices for regular unleaded gasoline in the city/region where you live?

Here in Vista, California, the cheapest is $1.47/gal. at Golden State Gasoline on North Santa Fe Dr. The most expensive is $1.98/gal. at Unocal on Escondido Ave. right off of Highway 78 (probably the reason it's so expensive, 'cause it's so near the freeway).

Maybe this thread could be updated every couple of weeks or so, just to give your neighbors an idea of where to find the best deals, as well as who to avoid.

Howzabout where you guys live?

Well...as of right now, the cheapest in the Chicago area is in Itasca at Speedway at Devon and Arlington Heights Rd. ($1.47). Most expensive is at the Irving Park and Pulaski Shell ($1.86). This is a welcome break from about a year or so ago when we had the highest gas prices in the entire US.

There is an actual website devoted to searching for the best/worst Chicago area gas prices (where the above info was from), and it's constantly updated:

That's awfully expensive. Our gas is only $1.14 per gallon.

Lessee...regular in NY is about $1.47/gal for the cheapest, but I've seen stations here in Manhattan with prices as high as $1.90.

I usually go to New Jersey for gas -- they have fewer state taxes AND all gas stations are FULL-SERVICE, so they pump it for you! In nearby NJ, cheapest is about $1.29, most expensive, about $1.39. So if I'm in NJ to run errands (which I do once or twice a week), I usually fill my tank there.

Gas prices are always more expensive in the city than the suburbs, so that's where i get my gas.I'm close to alot of suburbs.

Good grief! Jersey gas is cheaper than Florida's!!! That's pretty surprising. Why did I come down here again? On the Gulf coast, we're at around $1.47-$1.59 per gallon, for regular.

My friendly neighborhood Arco is $1.47 - $1.65. Designer gas, of course, is higher. Designer meaning Chevron, Unocal, etc.

The Shell at Irving Park and Cumberland is always insanely overpriced, too. When I drove past it yesterday, regular was $1.70 or so. Ultimate (or whatever their highest-grade is called) was $1.91!

Angry

What a difference 6 years makes...

I just paid $3.49 for regular unleaded at my local AM/PM, which is usually the cheapest in town!!

They're predicting $4.00/gallon by this summer (at least here in California).

Just scooting this thread to HTE. I think it will be more seen there. :)

Gas prices are terrible! The paper said they were at an all time high as of yesterday!

I believe I paid $3.15 per gallon yesterday in the Tampa area, but it was more expensive in the Florida panhandle when I was just there last week. I paid $3.29 there.

Wow, was it really that cheap just 6 years ago!?

It's something like 1.08 over here now per gallon, and four-star is no longer available.
