Re: Yellow Submarine
I myself have some wonderful memories connected with YS. I saw it when I was but a wee lad in 1968. I was SO thrilled and impressed! I got the lunch box,the model, album, toys, etc.
Would that I had all that NOW....
I got the VHS when it came out,and the McFarlane figures. It was/is a milestone in cinema animation.
It warms my heart to see new generations "finding" it anew....

Re: Yellow Submarine
I love yellow submarine! It is the best movie I have ever seen. Ok, one of the best. Its much better than Casablanca and many other classics. No offense to any classics, because I am a true supporter of great film. But Yellow Submarine is just so thouroughly enjoyable. It really is. One of my favorite parts is when Ringo says "Cant help it, I'm a born lever puller."

Re: Yellow Submarine
thanks Rose, I agree with you about Ringo being very funny, although I havent seen Ringo in Earth life. I hope to someday! Dont you hate it on message boards where people type in such abbreviated language that is indistinguishable? Its silly. Personally I went through enough years of school to learn all the silly little detailed rules of the English language, I might as well use them, eh? P.s. Yellow Submarine RULES!!!!!!

Re: Yellow Submarine
Very true, very true Starrfish. Have you seen Mary Poppins? I think you should watch it, they have british accents in it JUST AS THE BEATLES HAVE BRITISH ACCENTS and they (The Beatles, not british accents) are why we are here. I think I am going to watch it, because I am tired of blue meanies, and I think Mary Poppins (set in England where The Beatles are from) would be a nice thing to watch right now.
Don't You Think So?

Re: Yellow Submarine
I love this movie. The Blue Meanies are funny, along with the glove. I love the sea of time...seeing the beatles go from 4 to 64! I also enjoy the beatles' big house and the "born leever puller" joke. The animation is great. And I loved the real beatles at the end and how they brought back suveniers of Pepperland

My sister would be richer. I've owned the new movie for about a year, and my sister adopted it a week after i bought it, one week, she watched it straight, every minuet she was awake, she can sit there and recite the whole movie *well so can I*, but the thing is, My little sister was only 3 when it started!!!, shes 4 now, but she still watches it atleast once a day, Once, sorry to say it, but i was working on a term paper, and i almost thew it out the window... cuz it was annoying me!
oh well, I love every part of Yellow Submarine, Especially the "Nowhereman" Sequence... And all the jokes, My best friend at school told me about it, and i borrowed her movie, thats how i fell in love with it, then we ran around the mall all day looking for it, and i spent $25 dollars buying it, every penny was worth it though
The jokes, last school year, my friend and i would just sit in class saying them, and laughing, then get in trouble, one of the things i could remember was like "The Foot hills of the Headlands"
And the big thing, one of us would say Its Horrible, Simply Ugly, Awful or something,
Somebody Push a Button... Or I Want Me Mum, and Only a northern song was a big thing cuz we both have brown hair ... i don't know why, but the movie makes you feel so good, i'd like to live in Pepperland where everything is happy, but I can't, i'm in the middle of computer class right now tee hee
Well this is kinda getting long, hope you enjoy my crazy opinion!
