From sometime in 1964 till early in 1966, the Beatles, obviously hearing and loving the great Tambourine sound on the then-new Motown records, added tambourine to a few of their songs, notably We Can Work it Out, Help!, Ticket to Ride. The question is,
1. what's your favourite bit of Beatle tambourine (which song)?, and
2. Which of their earlier or later songs would be further enhanced by judicious addition of tambourine?
Odd topic, I know, but I love the Funk Brothers tmbourine sound and think The Beatles (Ringo? John? George? Paul?) got it just right too!

1. (tie) You Won't See Me
You've Got To Hide Your Love Away
2. I think "You Can't Do That" would have worked well with some tambourine mixed in...love that cowbell, though! [With apologies to Christopher Walken!]

They must have taken turns playing it because there is that one track you can hear it crash to the ground on and that was apparently Paul who dropped it - of course which song it is has completely flown out of my skull at this precise moment.

That's hilarious.

George Harrison: We ice skate.
I always listen to the tambourine when I'm listening to "Wait", was the tambo really the only overdub they did to the song they had saved from the Help! sessions?
