White Album serial number
I don't know has this been brought forward before but if you have the White Album with the serial number, what number is yours?
Not all issues have that number, only the first original issue and the 30th anniversary limited edition.
I have the Anniversary CD and its number is: 0363073.
Hopefully this wasn't a stupid topic....

I too have the CD, and the number is 0062721. But I have seen some people with pretty low LP numbers post here before. Let's see what people have!

I've got 4 original copies of the UK pressing from 1968 - 3 mono and a stereo. The lowest number I currently have is 0243439.
I also have the CD but can't remember what the number is. I bet number 0000001 is worth something!

Neil Aspinall has the original 1968 number 0000009 sleeve but sadly it's in a rough state.
Apparently there's about a dozen 0000001's out there.
The story goes that the idea for individual numbers came about because the group wanted to do a kind of lottery or raffle. They would draw a random number and who-ever owned that white album would win a big prize. But it never happened, sadly.

I have burned myself a 0000001 White album cd.
My cd hasn't got any number, but I doubt that cd's with any number on it would be worth more then ones without.
My vinyl version has number 120137

I have lp#0981678--bought the day it was released. Sadly, I was young and stupid then and it got pretty beaten up before I knew any better. Plus I was the only one of my little group who'd shell out for it and everybody always made me bring it with me when I went anywhere people might want to hear it.

I've heard that so many 0000001's were produced, at least in the states, so that they could be handed out to Capitol bigwigs and each would believe themselves to be so important as to rate the first copy produced.  |

Hi, found this thread via Google.
I've just seen No. 0000014 at my girlfriend's uncle's house. He had it on pre-order and picked it up on release day from a music shop on Bond Street in London.
He's not looking to sell, but obviously is interested to find out what it's worth. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi. I realize this is late but as I'm converting my vinyl to digital, I found a German import of "The Beatles" w/ embossed cover title & serial number. Any idea why they would serialize an import of this fine album?

Just wanted to add mine. My sisters, then attending the U of Texas, bought me the White Album in 1968 just a few days after its US release. It is No. 0001956.

Two original mono copies vinyl. #140972 and #289985.
Does anyone know the division of serial numbers between mono and stereo? Was there a #000001 stereo and a #000001 mono? And was the first 4 that the Beatles received stereo or mono?

I remember being a kid and my uncle lent me the "White Album" while he was in Vietnam. I was really excited it hear 30 "new" Beatles songs. The record did have a number printed on it. I thought the whole packaging was cool with the poster and the four individual photos.
He also lent me Sgt. Pepper which had the cut-outs.
