Y'know, I think this GG dude has a problem or three.

I've wondered about Ruth and Angie over the years as they have never been in the spotlight. Still, GG is worse than a buzzard because even a buzzard has the decency to wait until you are dead before eating your heart out.

Silly question, I know, but is that shirt for real or is it a trick picture to make a point? I think it's kinda funny, in a way, but I just wondered.

On that subject, how much do you want to bet Paul is not to eager too sing "No More Lonely Nights?"

On another track, what do others think of Ruth's claim about Paul's cutting her out of his life and taking a draconian stand with her when she was very young? I don't know what to think and I admit, anything from GG is to be taken with an ocean full of salt because we know he is not a credible reporter or one who resorts to truth, integrity and character.

I think Ruth has really tried to "use" the McCartney name. I mean, honestly, does anyone know... did Jim actually adopt her? Is her name legally McCartney? I mean, I've had friends who's mothers remarry & then they just take the name of their step father. So was this the same sort of thing? & even if Jim did adopt Ruth, why does Paul owe her anything? Paul earned his money & if anything, he can pass it on to his kids. I don't see why he has to pay everyone something unless he wants to. (I'm not saying what I would do if I was worth as much as Paul... I'm just saying... isn't it his choice?)

& really, it's not like Paul & Ruth grew up together or anything. It seems to me that after Jim passed away, Paul & Mike just carried on. I don't know if it was something personal, or what. But I do remember Ruth going on & on about her "brother" Paul after Jim passed away. I can't believe she can't let it lie. However, yes... GG always manages to dig up dirt & make it sound horrible... So I should just consider the source.

People who use their famous relatives' names to market themselves are one of my personal pet peeves, so I take anything they say with a grain of salt. And when filtered through GG? Maybe a whole box of salt.

Blah! That's pretty salty! But yes, like you... I don't understand people living off famous relatives.

I have a great aunt who's worth millions & it's not coming to any of our family members. I'm honestly worried about her as she's getting forgetful, but it's like... any family member who steps up to help her... they automatically think you must be trying to inherit something. It's already written that I'm not getting anything. Can't I just genuinely care about her wellfare?

I guess that's another reason why all this between Paul & Heather is odd to me. Money isn't everything.

The picture looks to be from the 2002 tour, judging from Paul's hair and his general appearance. Someone altered the photo to change what's on his shirt.

Oh my goodness. I just saw all that stuff that Ruth said. Really I can't say much except that I trust her about as far as I can throw her. Her mother sold Paul's birth certificate, if that tells you anything about how she is. She's built a career off of using Paul's name.

As for Guiliano, I don't know why I'm even surprised. As a young Beatles fan the first bio I read about Paul was "Blackbird" by Guiliano. I had a super negative view of Linda because of that worthless jibber jabber for years, and really after reading it, it's a wonder that I stayed a Paul fan with the intensely negative picture Guiliano paints of him. Geoffrey is a sad person. He should stick to privately hero-worshipping George and just shut up about the rest of them, as it's obvious he knows little. He has always sought to paint the worst picture possible of Paul, and it disgusts me that he claims to be a Beatles fan and yet apparently is seeking Heather out to bring Paul down.

Geoffrey doesn't "worship" George- he's the idiot who screwed up George's birthdate and name, saying that George was born on the 24th of February rather than the 25th (which his sister Louise has confirmed- I am going to take her word for it!) and inserting "Harold" as George's middle name...idiot- he is probably the worst biographer of the Beatles ever.

Louise also confirmed that her brother was "George Harrison" as that is what is on his birth certificate. With Harold, Sr. and Harry, it was time to pick another name. Simple as that.

GG is not the only one who claimed George was a 3-named Beatle; many magazine articles dating back to the Stinky 70s as well as Mark Shapiro and others make that same claim. I still think George's sister and his birth certificates are the sources to follow.

As for the Ruthster, she sounds rather Ruthless to me if there is any tRuth to what she is claiming. If her mother sold Paul's birth certificate (and I have seen copies of it in books), then that speaks poorly of her. We all know GG is notorious for using the Beatles as a place to grind his axes - I still think that somewhere out there exists a flaming pie with GG's name on it!

Ok, so he's got some things wrong about George in the past. The fact is that he still presents George in the best possible light (not that there is anything wrong with that- George was an awesome guy and totally worthy of being presented in a positive way), while when he writes about Paul it is one big "dump on Macca" fest.

Yeah exactly.

And I also think it is so lame of her to do that "he never gave me a penny of his fortune". Well hang on it is HIS hard earned cash isn't it?
But well then at least she said that she believes he has earned it so I can't go too mad ripping in to her.
But whaaaaaaaaat was she doing making tapes for GG????!!!! BIG mistake! That man is just a shocker isn't he!!! I told you that you didn't think it was possible to dislike him more yet somehow he keeps out-doing himself!

Well, I find so many authors to be sad, but what CAN be sadder is that fans believe what authors write. I mean, as the years go on, fans will have nothing else to base their Beatles history on. I've been a fan for 40 years & I already find some things fans "swear" by to be wrong. But they'll tell you, "I read it in such & such...so it's true! " & I'm telling them I was there & I know based on the Beatles themselves &/or people who knew them. I mean, who do you believe? The Beatles themselves or books written by people who claim to have "known" them. It's really up to places like Beatlelinks where fans of all ages can share the information because we obviously can't leave it up to authors.

I'd tell young fans to read the Beatles Anthology Book. Because you know, it's told by them?

There are good biographies for young people like:

Brilliant Brits
Who Were the Beatles

I bought these two for young relatives. A little
Beatle history and culture is good for a person.

As for GG, don't get us started on him! I have
to agree - every so often he will pull something
that will make me dislike him even more than I
initially did. Five years ago he faked his death
on 9/11; he has used every Beatle as a grind-
stone for his axe and if that ain't bad enough,
he's pulling the same old stuff.

As for Ruth, one wonders how much she knew
about GG and why in the blue hell would she
make tapes for him?! That's like inviting a fox
into your chicken coop. You know no good is
going to come of it and there will be many
losses, so you have to wonder why?

I got to thinking about this thing with these tapes Ruth has & Heather wants to use as "proof" of how violent Paul can be... Just how old are these tapes? I mean, people do change. I would think if they're from the 70s, it really wouldn't hold a lot of value to a marriage taken place in the last few years. Maybe I'm wrong. After all, Nicole Simpson's 911 calls didn't mean much in the O.J. trial.

Heather tries to save money in 825m fight
By Robert Mendick, Evening Standard 07.12.06

Heather Mills: cutting costs

Heather Mills has taken the extraordinary step of representing herself in court to reduce mounting legal bills in her divorce from Sir Paul McCartney.

Ms Mills has dispensed with barristers charging as much as 15,000 a day in her latest legal action against McCartney.

The decision to go it alone in one aspect of the divorce has raised eyebrows among the legal profession. Although her final legal bill could be as high as 1 million, Ms Mills is likely to receive at least 20 million - and as much as 100 million - in the battle for the former Beatle's estimated 825 million fortune.

The Standard has learned that Ms Mills, 38, represented herself in the High Court last week and yesterday in applications to keep Sir Paul out of her home and to gain access to his. The case is being heard by Mrs Justice Baron, one of the most eminent family law judges in the country.

A source close to Ms Mills told the Evening Standard: "She has to be careful about the size of the legal bills and by representing herself she is able to cut down on the costs."

The source said Ms Mills has retained the services of London law firm Mishcon de Reya in the main divorce battle over money and custody of three-year-old daughter Beatrice.

But in the ancillary action, she appeared as a litigant in person without professional help. The source said: "She is an intelligent woman and felt she was capable of handling this."

Ms Mills is still being advised on the financial aspects of the case by Anthony Julius, who handled Princess Diana's divorce, and by Nicola Fletcher, a partner at Mishcons who is expert in family law.

When Ms Mills brought her own action in the High Court she was photographed clutching an A4 pad containing scribbled notes about the divorce. The notes formed the basis of her speech and were headed: "I'm seeking an order for occupation of the matrimonial home," and were followed by three bullet points. The decision on her court application to have McCartney, 64, kept out of her home in Hove, East Sussex, is expected imminently.

James Stewart, a leading divorce lawyer with Manches, said: "I would find it very peculiar if one of my bigmoney clients went off on a frolic in relation to other aspects of the divorce case." A friend of McCartney's said: "You couldn't make it up."

Mr Julius, interviewed in the Daily Telegraph, refused to discuss the case but praised his client. "I'm happy to represent her. I like her and I have a great deal of admiration for her. She's intrepid and stalwart ... she also has a great deal of natural intelligence."
