Default Arnold Grove.

I dont like to split the lads apart but i suppose i do favour George the most. I used to live in Arnold Grove opposite George`s furst home. The Beatles tours would come everyday. it is only a small road with about 18 houses in it. if any of you have ever been there and taken a photo of George`s house then you would have stood outside my old house to take it.i moved in 2001.

Wow, that's awesome. I could only dream of living across George's old home. I bet it must get pretty touristy around there sometimes?

That is brilliant! Did any of your ex neighbours remember the Harrison family? Was it your family home?

That is a great photo! I stood in front in ...mmm...86? I love the stories about the homes there which George relates in I Me Mine. Maybe you can share some impressions about your house and time there? That would be really cool.

I love the style of the doors. They're works of art within thmselves.

Ilived there for Five years. It is a very small road blocked off at one end.so the road could get very busy when the tourist came.In the summer we would get up to 6 visits a day.so we got used to walking out the front door into a street full of people, all the heads would turn towards you and you would get lots of hello`s.it was really good.

there was so many TV crews turning up that i must have ended up on Tv all over the place. you see we lived there so we got used to it all and carried on as normal.so if someone was filming you just carried on and got filmed with your shopping etc.

I used to love to watch the excitement of some of the fans when they would stand at George`s front door and pose for pohoto`s.One guy got a guitar out and strarted singing "my sweet lord"at the door.

The houses are very small.two up two down.but they have now been modernised and have extensions. I dread to think what it must have been like for George`s family in his time.I guess that`s why they moved to Speke.

There was an old lady who lived in the road who had lived there all her life. She said she knew the Harrison`s.but mainly the people there are too young to remember them.

Did you know that George came back to visit the house? The lady who lives there told us one day she had a knock on her door and when she opened it there was George and his wife.He asked could he come in and look around and she let him.Good eh!

I agree Celebrian!! They popped out at me right away also. I could tell the homes were renovated, beautifully I might add, but the doors and windows are awesome. In my childhood home we had a similar door..it was painted bright red and Had a window like the middle door in that pic. It was way cool to be able to direct people to my house using the 'door' as a description

That's cool andalucia, and welcome by the way I have a picture of myself standing outside George's old house back in 1995. I have been to Liverpool since, but sadly not back to Arnold Grove.

I've stood in front of your home quite a few times then!

Actually, it's one of my fave little spots in the world. Amazing things happen when I stand there.

Welcome to Links!
