A-maz-ing pic, Maia. I am suddenly so enthralled by the fact that John and Phil were 'friends' (well, according to Phil who referred to Lenny Bruce and John Lennon as his "best friends"). It's fascinating to me because they just seem like two totally different people. John was so much more open, warm, and positive while Phil seemed so much more isolated, guarded, and slightly snobby.
This was my analysis before any of the recent tragedy in Phil's life.
