I didn't have the chace to see it before, so it was quite good!

I had seen a small clip of that because it came out when I was in my Hanson phase. You could actually see them in that clip.

Anyway, that got me to buy that album, I really like that song. Because as of yet I hadn't purchased any solo albums.

Hanson's there... we don't like Hanson...

Other than that, it's a cool video, thanks.

Ahh, if I had a penny for everytime someone's told me that, I'd be a rich woman now.

If you've heard anything post mmmbop though you'd agree that it isn't that bad. "If only" doesn't count it's too sappy.

I really like the version of Love Me do on Vertical Man, it probably wouldn't make that great of a single but I love the blues feel to it.

In fact I recall liking "Mmmbop" at the beginning (shame on me ) because it made me remember "Bip Bop", the Paul song, which I always found so stupid that I just have to like it... I also liked a song called "This Time Around", which was kinda cool. But you know... they don't happen to be my favorite band. I never say "I can't stand them", because it's too absolute. It's just... sometimes they put out some nice records and I just listen to them... just like every other group. No discriminations. [/b]

I may be a little unfair in this, but my favorite song in this album is "King Of Broken Hearts", mainly because of George's solo. Maybe not a good choice for a single either... What about "I Was Walkin'" or even "One"?. Don't know really.

Perhaps not the best choice for the first single of "Vertical man"...

"There may not be much difference"
"Between Marilyn Monroe and Lenny Bruce"
"If we check their coffins"

Sorry about that, they aren't my most favorite band but after years of liking them, my defense mechanisms are honed machines, from constantly having to defend liking them to most everyone. I haven't heard much of anything about them in about a year but I still have the old reactions, I still enjoy their albums since they have a an older feel to them.

La De Da is a great video! Rock on Ringo! Was it filmed in New York?

"What in the world", "Without understanding" or "One" (i.e.: a rocker)
&
"King of the broken hearts"
as the second single..

------------------
"There may not be much difference"
"Between Marilyn Monroe and Lenny Bruce"
"If we check their coffins"

I agree with One, but La De Da isn't that bad, since it has a nice sound, and pretty remains stuck in your head (as every Richie song )

No offense taken...

But a good hint that "La De Da" may not have been the best choice for the first single is that no other single* was released from that album after that as "LDD" did not do so well on the charts...

* As far as I know...

La De Dah was a great song that deserved better as far as airplay and recognition.
Hell, the whole album for that matter!!
It will be recognized some day.....

For my money, "Vertical man" is his best since "Ringo"...
