Catch Us Up
Ok, I have been told that there might be a few old members stopping by here today, so this is a thread for you to catch us up with what you've been up to since you've been here last.
I'll start. Still working the same job, my boyfriend of five years and I are starting to house-hunt, though so far, it's been pretty casual because we're busy with our jobs and our two bands, one acoustic duo and a full band that plays original music and covers. I've written 2 1/2 songs that we play with the band and am working on a few more. We tied for 2nd at Beatlefest last week in the sound-alike contest with our acoustic duo doing "In Spite of All The Danger".
I had a rather severe knee injury last fall and am still rehabbing from that, though it's finally getting somewhat better. Hoping it'll be enough better to go on vacation soon - we've been putting off a couple of trips because I haven't been able to walk long distances.
Really nothing all that exciting. Now how about you?

I also work at the same job, have a few minor health things going on, became a great-aunt, Dad passed away, just taking care of my mom and trying to fix up the house.

Hi y'all! I don't know when I was 'really' here last but since regular posting:
I have retired and moved north to a small community in some hills. Become a granny 3 soon to be 5 times over and become quite the farmer :)
Still completely smitten with the Winchester Boys, and yes they are still on the air :)
Miss you guys!

Rell, I'm sorry to hear about your knee. Was it a torn meniscus? I have a relative who suffered a torn meniscus in 1979 and in those days you didn't have arthoscopic surgery as an option. There is an Osteo Relief Center in my area and they've enjoyed success with stem cell shots into the injured joint so as the new cells could replace and repair the traumatized area.
I have a new car and replaced my other one.

No, BB, it wasn't a torn meniscus...at first the orthopedic surgeon thought so because the signs were there, but I had an MRI and he said it was just scar tissue, nothing torn or broken. Had 6 weeks of PT and now am continuing the exercises on my own.

I'm still involved in most of the things I was doing when I posted more often. The biggest change is that my kids are almost grown up. My youngest is a senior in high school and I'm quite active at his school. When he graduates in May, I plan on being home more often in the evenings. Maybe I'll be able to stop in here more often!

Rell, I'm glad nothing was torn or traumatized. I hope you continue doing well with your exercises and your knee makes a full recovery.
I know somebody who had the stem cell injection in a post-op menisectomy knee and is doing well.
