Re: 2nd British Invasion!!
So far, I haven't yet seen the comparison for a band that "sounds like the Beatles". They influenced popular music so there will always be many references. But you know, they never sued anyone over it the way George was sued for My Sweet Lord. That always bothered me.

Re: 2nd British Invasion!!
The song that George supposedly infringed is called, 'He's So Fine' by the Chiffrons. Yes, I have a copy, and if you listen to it, you'll see why he was sued. It's almost exactly like it. I was surprised the first time I heard it and noted on how similar it sounded.
Knowing George however, it must have been coincidence.... Mustn't it?

Re: 2nd British Invasion!!
I just thought for anyone interested, I listen to Bottlefly and they are good. If no one thinks they sound like the Beatles than me, that's fine. Just thought I'd get the word out.

Re: 2nd British Invasion!!
I believe that George did not intentionally rip off that melody from the Chiffons, although the court feels otherwise. It's a simple melody of early 60's music that in my opinion was subconsciously used without the slightest thought to "He's So Fine". An early influence , if you will, just as the Beatles were to much of todays' popular music. But you don't see them suing anybody over it.

Re: 2nd British Invasion!!
George's "This Song" from his 33 1/3 Album is his response to that lawsuit. It's very clever and sarcastic. I, too, don't believe he intentionally ripped off the Chiffons' recording. So many melodies are similar, lawsuits could go on forever.
