Woo-hoo!

------------------
This week, the Beatles greatest hits album, "1", is at number fifty-one on the USA album charts. "Wingspan: Hits and History" by Paul McCartney is at number twelve.

I assume it's the same one than the older one... Meaning without any changes... I don't wanna buy it again... I don't have that quantity of money...

Wait, I know what Nowhere Man will say here... But I've got my parents buying me the Paul albums and "Wingspan" now... And my grandma is worried about the Anthologies on CD... And a couple of friends are searching for "Ringo" in Santiago... I don't want to bother other people...

We got it when it first came out. It is rather good and the sound quality does vary from time to time. But overall, it is a very good collection of songs.

There's easily enough material for a Live At The BBC Vol 2. Given that the first release sold 6 million within its first 12 months, surely we'll eventually get a second collection

First of all, there are NO changes in the BBC set. No remastering, no bonus tracks, no change (other than some typo corrections I hope).

If you DON'T have it, get it! It's the Beatles having FUN! And it sounds it! But keep in mind that the songs are performed in different studios for the BBC radio shows WITHOUT the benefit of overdubs. So essentially, it's the BEATLES LIVE! (Without crowd noise in most cases)

Also the quality varies on some of the cuts. Some tracks were taken from someone's home recording of the actual radio show instead of from a master.

The key to this set is unreleased songs and performances (and talk) with the Fabs as they have FUN!!!!

Well, that's a very good start indeed. Do you have any brothers or sisters?

Damn I love him.

<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

That's one of my favorite parts! The next thing he says really cracks me up. After he yells "What about my book, then??" very shortly after that (while Paul is being interviewed and trying to be serious) you can hear John quietly in the background saying..."What about it?" It sounds like John might be across the room. Hilarious!

It's funny when Paul is trying to be "Mr. P.R. Man" and serious that John never could resist teasing or mocking him.

The Beatles BBC sessions , should have never been put out of print to begin with . There are some great cover songs on those sessions.

I LOVE the BBC set -- I had a lot of those tracks on bootleg prior to the release of the CD. I wish they'd do another volume, too -- there's some wonderful gems sitting around doing nothing that would make a lot of fans happy!

Wonderful stuff -- as was said, early, essentially "live" Beatles, without all the screaming. WHY it ever went out of print at all is beyond me -- it's wonderful!
