That's a great article Wolfe, well worth reading.

I do not personally think it was all media hype, Beatlemania had started long before they gave it it's name. On their return from Hamburg the "boys" experienced the start of the girls jostling for their attention in their hometown of Liverpool, Beatlemania gradually evolved into the madness it became, dragging the dreary post war world kicking and screaming into the 1960's.
We are testimony to the fact that it remains today as strong as ever, the legacy of The Beatles continues to inspire and touch so many!
