Re: Famed producer always willing to discuss Beatles

I wonder if Martin cringed when he read the "the strings that fall like snowflakes around "She's Leaving Home" line since that was one of the few songs he didn't write the arrangement for.

Re: Random music questions

A whammy bar is sometimes called a vibrato, such as the Bigsby Vibrato on George's first Grestch. I'm pretty sure that its never a called a vibrator.

Re: Bass Question

In the Guitar Player compliation "Bass Heroes," McCartney gave this explanation behind the origins of his Wal: "I was doing some jams in London that eventually turned into the Russian album, and one...

Re: The Bass Or The Man?

Realistically, the bass is going to last longer. People today play instruments that are over three-hundred years old. But I think we all hope that Paul will tour for that long.

Re: Something VERY Unusual in the Antholgy 7 Episode....

Yeah, I just checked. I'm thinking that since left-handed guitars are hard to come by, McCartney was probably somewhat adept at playing right-handed. Or, of course, its another clue that Paul is dead.

Re: A bit of research: Celebrities who are Beatle fans

Dave Matthews is a big fan. He did that Lennon Tribute thing a couple of years ago and sang "In My Life." Blues Traveler does a cover of "Imagine" on Live From the Fall, so they're more than likely...

Re: LIBN debuts at #7 in the UK (official)

Look at it this way. Let It Be...Naked made it to the top ten on its own merits, not because it had to be practically forced into the hands of consumers. Let It Be was never one of the Beatles...

Re: All You Guitarist! And bass too!

I own the Signature Licks book for bass and my biggest gripe is it only transcribes snippets from various songs, such as only transcribing the guitar solo for "Nowhere Man." It also skips the faster...

Re: Beatle Dvds

Why aren't there more Beatles DVDs available? The companies who own them must know that they're bound to make money releasing anything related to the Beatles. That is why I'm so confused that Let It...

Re: Beatles Audience Is Getting Younger

Being in the age group defined as the "1 generation," I'd personally like to say I hate the term. Just because alot of younger people bought the album, all of the sudden it is considered the light in...
