Re: Another serious question to Original Beatles fans

The break-up was not unexpected, but I held out hope until the end that it wouldn't happen. It was terribly sad for me and I found myself crying over it often. I was also kind of angry that...

Re: Being a Beatles fan in the sixties and seventies

Just as my contemporaries stated above, there was nothing to match the excitement connected to waiting for a new Beatles release. That's something the younger fans will never know, unfortunately,...

Re: Did anyone happen to tape Larry King interview with Paul?

GlenV and jtal recall how unimpressed The Beatles were by other celebrities and members of the media. They had their heroes, like Elvis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Motown Artists, etc., but they...

Re: Did anyone happen to tape Larry King interview with Paul?

Right, jtal! That watch bit was a throwback to the old days, for sure! As for Larry King's interview: we're all so Beatle-savvy that we already knew all the answers to the questions Larry asked,...

Re: Did anyone happen to tape Larry King interview with Paul?

PaulRamone: I'm sorry I didn't tape the interview, as I think it was terrific, but I believe it's going to be repeated over the week-end. In any event, I'm sure someone on this site taped it and...

Re: Oops!

I originally thought I heard (in "When I Get Home") "I've got no time to trip behind the trees" instead of "I've got no time for trivialities." I assumed that the former was some British expression...

Re: The Curse Of The USA?

HMVNipper: You're right about the donor business. In fact, Ringo volunteered to donate his own bone marrow, but it wasn't a match to Maureen's. A most untimely death, to be sure; very unfortunate.

Re: Meet the Beatles

As some of my contemporaries have already said, MEET THE BEATLES was the very first album we Americans got to buy. I remember trying to determine who was singing the lead on each song, as the group...

Re: With a little luck

Being a teacher myself, I find it unforgivable when grades aren't given ASAP! I'll admit marking papers is tedious, but it is part of the job and the students have a right to expect their results...

Re: The REMCO dolls

jtal: How could your parents do that? You must've been totally traumatized! What these items are worth monetarily really matters less than what they MEAN to us. I guess the situation your folks...
