Re: Everybody got one!

BUT WHY DIDN'T THE BEATLES THEMSELVES TOLD THE SINGERS WHAT TO DO? And what if Lennon would've HATED the result with the trumpets or singers? Would they change it for him?

Re: Everybody got one!

BTW, I love the Beatles.

Re: Everybody got one!

Re: Everybody got one!

Damn. I can't believe I'm seeing this. Why the heck didn't the Beatles THEMSELVES told the singers what to do since it is THEIR SONG. Why did Martin had to tell them? Why?? They sure were lazy, those...

Re: Good Night

For example Ringo would come and say I would like some harp here or John would say more flute here whatever?

Did they do this Bearkat? Or did Martin just did it all for them?

Re: What is a harmonium and does it sound like a bass?

So what instrument does John play? I thought he arranged the organ melody, or he didn't?

Good Night

In Anthology 3 they said that the Beatles and George Martin were sharing ideas in Good Night. But for what were they sharing ideas? For the gigantic orchestra? For example Ringo would come and say I...

Goo goo g\'joob.

Did Lennon originally planned Walrus as a orchestral song, or was Martin the one with the idea? I mean, did Lennon picture it with all the extra effects it recieved in the final version (excluding...

Re: Let It Be (LP): thumbs up or thumbs down?

If Martin had produced this album, believe me that Across The Universe and Long & Winding Road would be so much better songs, more to the way John and Paul would've wanted.

But still, the album...

Re: What kind of song is it?

C'mon guys lets get a little bit more serious.

I am making this topic because I would like to show my friends that the Beatles are not just a "pop band" and that they covered so many musical genres...

What kind of song is it?

Basically what you have to do is pick a Beatles song and then tell what genre it belongs to (rock, pop, hard rock, acid rock, psycadelic, pyscadelic pop or rock, music hall, progressive...

Let It Be (LP): thumbs up or thumbs down?

I remember I used to dislike LIB because they weren't experimental at all and had a country and roots feel which at that time I didn't like much. But now I personally find LIB to be a good album...

Nipper: give me few examples of when john wanted something to sound like (i bet my ass that he wasn't so specific when he made "i am the walrus")

Re: Who did the guitars for #9 Dream?

The beggining of IATW simulates a police siren. John made that by himself with the mellotron (i suppose). The part in IATW i'm talking about is that how specific was he with the orchestra? did he say...

Re: Who did the guitars for #9 Dream?

although you got to admit that when it came to specifying to session musicians how they wanted their sound, Macca was definitely more professional than John.
