Re: Start of "Revolution" (guitar?)

I think on the slower version it's George, but on the single version it's John. Sure looks like John on the Anthology DVD.

Re: Wow! Revolver is awesome!

Revolver to me seems like a bridge between the early days and the direction their music was heading. Lots of great stuff from Taxman to Here There And Everywhere. A classic!

Re: Rock Star\'s look-alike kids

I liked Paul's line at the end of The Concert For George, where he said that Olivia had said referring to Dhani looking like his Father, that it looked like everyone else had gotten older except for...

Re: Neil Aspinall hints at 2006 major Beatles release

Sounds "fab" and "gear" to say the least! I would eventually like to see concert footage from Shea Stadium, Australia and a few others that I've seen on the Anthology DVD's. Mix them in for a good...

Re: Was George Martin the most important Beatle?

I think George Martin was a great sounding board for The Beatles. They asked his opinion, they asked about different sounds and musical intruments and he obliged. While there is little doubt about...

Re: Too much information?

I don't know how many of you have seen this, but John did an interview with Playboy I beieve back in the late 70's. The interviewer started just asking about Beatle songs and what John remembered...

Re: OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I liked the interaction they had with some of the children on the train. The boy and girl looked to be around 6 or 7, you wonder where they are now and if they realize they were a part of history.

Re: Lennon jukebox reveals Beatles\' musical debts

Interesting story, but ALL artists have influences and The Beatles never hid or deceived anyone about theirs.

Re: the anthology DVDs

What I liked about them was that many of the live performances that were used as an intro or tail on the ABC TV special back in the mid 90's are left in tact on the DVD's.

Re: The Beatles #1... dumbest band name of all time??

This was an obvious ploy to bring more attention to their publication. Like the old saying goes..."any press is good press." Just consider the source.

I like the Ticket To Ride sequence in the Alps. All the ho, ho, ho-ing. The scene in the Indian restaurant is good as well. The season ticket and the glasses in the soup is very good....ahhh no pun...

Re: 1962-1965

I tend to listen to the different eras, depending on my mood. I would disagree a bit about a comment in an earlier post saying the Beatles in their early years were a "pop" band. I think the Beatles...

Re: the four episodes of ed sullivan, and other fab dvds

Actually some of the commercials are bit funny. I also thought the performance of "This Boy" on the Miami Sullivan Show was pretty good. All in all a great set of DVD's to have!

Re: the four episodes of ed sullivan, and other fab dvds

I ordered my "Sullivan" DVD's a few months ago over the internet and really enjoy them. I like hearing "Please Please Me" as it seems to be a rare live performance compared to the other songs.
Anyone...

Re: DVD"The Beatles First U.S. Visit "

Bought mine on Tuesday gang and have watched it twice. Like the extras and the stuff on the train. Very nice. Think I will go watch it again!
