The only real similarity is the strum pattern and that John's playing high up the neck is similar to the mandolin sound. The chord progression is similar, but not the same.

I prefer the Classic mix. The second is interesting mix. It's a little...unsettling to not be sure which side the instruments/voices are really on - since they seem shift from one side to the other
