I hope they get it together and put the Beatles up on iTunes, even though I already have everything on CD.

This is one of those great Beatles songs where they sing the chorus hook the perfect number of times - only 3 - which makes you want to hear the song again immediately after.

I've been skimming through Phillip Norman's "Shout" since someone earlier in this thread (and the book's jacket itself, way hey) suggested that it was the definitive biography of the Beatles. So...

That's cool, Rev. I remember listening to the Beatles all the time back when I was that age (I'm in my late 20's, now. I guess some things never change!). Everybody has their least favorite...

His singing takes some time to get used to, but I think it's totally worth it. He's got a very expressive, homespun, theatrical voice. Sure, it's not great technically, but, hey, since when does...

Yeah, I think John looks a bit scary in that pic. Imagine, a Beatle with no hair! It's a great pic though. If anyone has any more of these, I'd love to see them.

I'll have a go:

1) The Beatles create a forgotton, spontaneous avant-garde single called "Throw Magic Alex Down The Stairs."

2) Billy Preston officially joins the band! This means immediately all...

I'd like to register that it doesn't matter much to me if Dylan likes the Beatles or not. As much as I love Dylan (and I most certainly do), I think there is a tendency to over adore everything...

Yeah, but they first heard the sound by accident when Paul leaned his bass against an amp, right? Then they decided they had to put it on the track. So, it's still sort of an accidental discovery,...

For me, I'd say the Anthology tells the main story the best. It's the basic "party line" book that lays out the whole Beatles myth which every other book sort of orbits. Lots of pictures, too. ...

Paul, even though he's clearly the least cool Beatle. His melodic sense just destroys me. I also sympathize with him in the later years the most. John is a close second, though, followed by George...

I love how different everyone's moods seem to be from each other. The 'nternet is a diverse place, inn't it?

Me? I'm in an "acoustic version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps" mood.
