Jealous guy
Is it true that John dedicated "jealous Guy" to Cyn? And if so, what did Yoko say?

Re: Jealous guy
I do think Jealous Guy is written for Cyn because it has the lyrics in there that would work for Cynthia very well. Like "I never met to hurt you" I read in Lennon biography that John had never wanted to hurt Cynthia; he didn't even want to inform her that he wanted a divorce. Jealous Guy was written in India in 1968, so I do believe that it was written for Cyn.

Re: Jealous guy
I remember reading that somewhere as well, but I don't really believe it. Writing that song to Cyn would probably hurt Yoko, and he'd never do that...

Re: Jealous guy
Jealous Guy was originally called Child Of Nature, written while in India in 1968. It had an entirely different set of lyrics. John re-wrote the lyrics and has said that the song is for Yoko.

Re: Jealous guy
Of course he would say it's written for Yoko; Yoko was his wife at the time. But the lyrics just doesn't seem to be Yoko-ish. Yoko seems to be the one who doesn't cry easily. The song seems more Cynthia-ish. Just read the lyrics and decide for yourself then. I think it's for Cynthia, but that's my opinion.

Re: Jealous guy
A little off topic..... I absolutely love the version of Jealous Guy on the John Lennon Anthology. There's just something appealing about that gorgeous, full piano sound.

Re: Jealous guy
When John sings "0h no " does he mean "Ono" ?
