Ringo-Rama

...is the name of Ringo's new album. Mark Hudson finished mastering it last friday night and it will be released sometime in March. It has 11 tracks including a duet with Willie Nelson titled "right one for me", a tribute to George with Eric Clapton on lead guitar titled "never without You", one song with the Ringo-y title of "Missouri loves Company" and a song called "Elizabeth Reigns" a jab at the Queen (Ringo says at the end of the song...there goes my knighthood!). David Gilmore also appears on the album. I had a great time at liverpool days listening to Mark speak and visiting with him afterwards. He is a joy to talk to and his affection for Ringo is evident in all that he says. Felt just like sitting down with a fellow Ringo fan and swapping stories. He also mentioned that Roger Hodgson would be returning as an all-starr next year. He told the story that all of the performers from the George Tribute Concert spent Thanksgiving at Friar Park with Olivia and Dhani...what a nice picture that brings to mind! Apparently Ringo is vegetarian all but that one day a year when he eats a ton of turkey(must be the drumsticks, eh?)

<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">And I'm looking forward to it... to the 1000000000000000000000th power !

Thanks for the details... but now we have to wait three months for it to come out !

Ringo & Willie Nelson ? Should be good, as Ringo is such a big country fan, he must have enjoyed working with Willie.

The one about the Queen sounds fun (especially that last line...).

Of course, the first song I'll play when I get the album will surely be "Never without you". Just the tittle gives me goose-bumps...

Yes sir...

Not that his previous albums were bad...

... but Ringo's really "picked up his game" with his last few albums. And with the details posted at the top of this topic...

As Homer Simpson would say...

"Mmmmmm, another great Ringo album... arghhhhh"

Sounds great *

The title of the Hari tribute looks promissing too. EC will have added some crying guitar bits on it.

<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">I don't know, I have a hard time imagining Ringo "taking a jab" at anyone. Maybe it will be just tongue-and-cheek, like "Her majesty" ?

Willie Nelson and Ringo together? That will definitley be a track to enjoy! I'm glad he's still doing albums. I've always enjoyed Ringo's work. In my opinion that man hasn't put out one bad album!

How nice to see nothing but positive Ringo comments. I came here once and folks was crapping on 'Ringo the 4th', so I left. I am also of the feeling that Ringo has never made a bad album.

I read in a paper a fellow Drumhead sent me from 'Liverpool Days' in LA that the new Ringo album may also be called 'Instant Amnesia'. This may have been the working title and the 'Ringorama' title that Mark mentioned is probably the new one.

<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">Sorry you left because someone else's opinion didn't jibe with yours - but someone's opinion will always be different from yours.

This forum hardly ever gets heated, Ringo is simply too lovable... I'm looking forward to giving the new album a hearing.

I am very anxious to experience this new album, Eric Clapton on it and specially I wonder what will come from the co-operation with Roger Waters.

Re: Ringo-Rama

So there's Dave Gilmour and Roger Waters both working on the Ringo album. Two things.

1: How did they get along
2: Do they have time for that?
Especially Dave with all his work with Paul and now Ringo. I want a new Pink Floyd album and a new Roger Waters album!!

Oh yeah looking forward to the new Ringo album, it's the closest we are going to get to a, well not Beatles reunion but a Pink Floyd reunion!
