And May I Introduce To You ?

Maybe I've been looking the wrong way but the fiftieth anniversary of the publication of "In His Own Write" seems to have passed by without much comment.

So here in the trivia quiz I've decided to make amends by concentrating somewhat on this book which contributed in no little way to Lennon being considered as the thinking man's Beatle.

For another point therefore :

Who wrote the introduction to this book and what glaring historical mistake did he make?

Macca.

I don't know.

McCartney wrote the introduction. As for the historical mistake, would it be that he identified themselves as being 12? When in fact 16 or 17?

Yes. Paul wrote the introduction and put that he and John were twelve when they met.

This is obviously nonsense. They weren't the same age to begin with and were in fact 15 and 17 at the time.

Paul couldn't possibly have made this mistake unknowingly so ...never believe a Beatle without checking first!
