This tip will certainly encourage others to watch this movie!

Oh really? Nothing like having someone obsessed with Ringo in the movie. Now I almost do wanna see it :wink3:

Sunday's Cold Case was about a 1970 murder of a teenage boy in the Soul music scene. He brought a bunch of orchestra instruments into the studio without his manager's permission. Manager walks in, they argue and the manager says, "Who do you think you are now, The Beatles?"

I caught a little of 1964's Bikini Beach on cable the other day. Frankie Avalon plays a double role... he's the heart throb and also a Beatley bloke called The Potato Bug. Super cheesy!!

I just looove those 60s beach movies! :cross2:

If you mean Flash Forward, the episode has just finished here in Australia where the little boy went missing from hospital? At the end of the show he was found and returned to Dad and it's a cover of Across the Universe that plays. I don't know who was singing it, but it was quite a nice version!

thanks Oz, I could not remember what song they featured....

The Beatles in Pinky and the Brain
I think one of my favorite TV shows that the Beatles were referenced in was a Pinky and the Brain episode. Pinky is the Mousarishi and this band, "the feebles", meets a woman named yoyonono. It is about the funniest depiction of yoko I have ever seen. Not to mention as she "sings" it goes through and all of the Beatles are like "its awful" "its terrible" (it gets to john and he says) "I love her!"
There are more references in that episode as well.. They sing the song, "All we are saying... is take off your pants" and "All you need is lunch".

Angry Beavers did a show about the Beatles too. One of them hosts a press conference in his bed, and he says that they are going to bigger than sliced bread (haha) and I think the title of his album is the Bark album.

and one more thing.. haha
In an episdoe of Courage the Cowardly dog, ringo does the voice of the Duck brothers :)

:cross2: Silly tv shows!

Sorry for the big post - but I went through the thread and found these and thought they were just too funny not to share with you

Of course, there's also Dewey Cox -- I'm sure that's already been mentioned, though. :)

I wanna say there was a Teen Titans episode related to them. It didnt mention them specifically, but there was a British 60s element to it and the guy they were fighting looked like a red-haired John

On a trivia site that I love, they have this great quiz: Beatles References in The Simpsons. Lots of other great Beatles quizzes, too.

Hilarious vids, Maggie!! (Poor Yoko...)

It was a fashion show montage where Bruno was making a scene, and he went to Stella's Paris fashion show. For 3 seconds, it flashed to Paul who was sitting a few seats over! Hooray :)

haha I saw that too!!

I was watching an old re-run episode of Men Behaving Badly and Tony says,"Dorothy, he loves you. And with a love like that, you know you should be glad!"

sourmilkpinky Nov 13, 2009 11:51 AM

Lennon & McCartney finally got a shout out in my favorite show last night... yes, that show being Supernatural ;)

Kaleidoscope.eyes Nov 29, 2009 04:12 PM

I remember Roseanne making little comments about The Beatles. Someone called Dan the 5th Beatle and there's a few other I can't remember.

On the season finale of Curb your Enthusiasm, the Seinfeld cast is shooting a reunion episode, but Jason Alexander (George) gets into a dispute over the script and leaves, so Larry David says he'll play the George role...Jerry's reaction: "Are you crazy? It's not 'John, Paul, George and Larry! It's not what the people want!"

Last night I was watching Robot Chicken, and they had a segment about "Zombie Idol" where dead zombified rock stars were competing. John was one of them, being helped along by Yoko. They were only on screen for about a second, just long enough to recognize.

There's also a Yellow Submarine parody on Robot Chicken.

Also, on, someone uploaded a video of the Worst Saturday Night Live Episode Ever (which consisted entirely of "And tonight featuring...." moments), and Ringo was one of the celebrity guests.

BTW, that Munsters episode? I remember very clearly that the Beatles were NOT given proper attribution for the song in the end credits. I was very offended!

I don't know if many of you remember Independence Day?? One of my secret fav movies. Don't ask why I like it, I just do!! (lol)

Anyway, when they're in Air Force One and Levinson's ex-wife sits down next to her father-in-law and thanks him for saving their lives.
Julius: All he could think about was getting to you. There's still love there.
Connie: Love was never a problem.
Julius: All you need is love. John Lennon, smart man, shot in the back, very sad.

Probably not a great quote, but still, it amazes me how many shows and movies still have a Beatles or Beatle members mentioned.

MsRingoBingo Dec 30, 2009 10:36 PM
