You Might Well Arsk
In 1964 which two people did John Lennon say influenced the writing of "In His Own Write" ?

How about Peter Sellers of the Goon Show, and Dr Seuss?

Maybe, Lewis Carroll. The other guy...I don't know. James Joyce.

zipp Aug 10, 2014 02:21 PM

Logically yes, but John wasn't being logical.

johncharles Aug 10, 2014 02:47 PM

Any more clues you can share?

zipp Aug 11, 2014 03:29 AM

Sure. They were an American actor and actress who had very probably nothing to do with the book!

Colonel Angus Aug 11, 2014 06:34 AM

Lucy and Desi Arnaz.

johncharles Aug 11, 2014 08:23 AM

I'd say Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Barton, but I think both of them are Brits, and I don't even think they knew each other in, that's wrong.

American actor and actress could be anyone. The net has been cast so wide.

zipp Aug 11, 2014 09:00 AM

OK so let's narrow things down.

They were both big American film stars but they weren't married and I'm pretty sure they were never in a movie together.

Colonel Angus Aug 11, 2014 11:00 AM

Fred Astaire and Mae West?

zipp Aug 11, 2014 01:06 PM

Nope, but I like the idea.

Colonel Angus Aug 11, 2014 01:12 PM

Huntz Hall and Shirley Temple?

zipp Aug 12, 2014 12:27 AM

Nope. They're not on the Sgt. Pepper sleeve.

zipp Aug 12, 2014 11:53 PM

Clue : John said this in an interview. So if you find the interview, you'll have the answer.

Can you make this a two point question?

James Stewart. Betty Grable.
