Promoting Fan Fiction

I've started a fan fic called Coming Down Fast recently, set up a pretty cool webpage for it, but not many people are reading it! I've listed myself in the Yahoo! directory, also here on Beatlelinks, surfbeatles.com, signed about a million peoples guestbooks asking them to check it out, almost everything I can think of!

Does anyone know of any better (and free) way to promote fan fiction, or does it just have to become popular all on its own by word of mouth?

Heres the link, BTW, if you'd like to see it: http://geocities.com/pauluver69/CDF.html

Re: Promoting Fan Fiction

Have you joined any of the hundreds of fan fic or writing webrings out there? They do end up bringing traffic to your site. Also, try and get your story linked up on people's links pages.

In general, if it's an genuinely good fic, word-of-mouth is how you'll get your traffic. That's how most people found out about my stories, initially.
