Ringo/Jim Morrison

OK I heard Hello I Love You yesterday over the radio. I was actually flying home from vacation so I heard it about a half dozen times as I was listening to the songs the airline played over the course of an eight hour flight.

Listen to Jim Morrison's voice - which Beatle does that sound like? If it isn't obvious right away listen to how he sings the words 'name', 'game' - the way he hits that 'aim' sound. I swear this was not the result of jet lag or part of a hallucination brought on by sleep deprivation. I don't mean there's a slight resemblance, it's actually pretty obvious.

I agree. The Name/Game part does sound Ringo-ish

Both have deep singing voices.
Probably two of my favorite singers too. :smile1:

Jim is wicked cool. I can't see the similarity Jim and Ringo's voices though. Not even by stretch of the imagination. Both deep, but that's about as far as it goes... Maybe just it's just because I'm so honed into the uniqueness of Jim's voice cuz Im such a Doors freak, but Beatles of course top them out.

Same here....

Other similarity: they both ''indulged'' themselves quite a lot, with drink and tea, a times...

Man, add Jim to those mid 1970's romps that Ringo, John, Harry Nilsson and Keith Moon were having... I don't think L.A. would still be standing today !

I never really thought they sounded that similar, they're kinda similar i guess...
