Buying A CD

Posted Feb 19, 2008 at 10:02 AM by FPSHOT
We're in 2008 and these days I hardly buy a CD. I did yesterday and even in 2008 style.

I was listening to some songs I d/l from "Detours", the new Sheryl Crow album. So taken by it I decided to order it at a Dutch online store which is good, cheap and quick in delivery of books, CD's and what have you.

Less than 12 hours later I have it here at home, the actual physical CD.

And yes, it sounds much better than a download, I can hold the booklet...

In Love by Fear Of Pop – the remix by Thievery Corporation on their Versions LP
I was first introduced to Thievery Corporation from the soundtrack to Garden State, which Digmom owns. Then I later came across them on a Putumayo African collection. I thought...

Ode to the humble semicolon -
Most modest of punctuation marks, his virtues I'm extollin'.
Lower than all other marks, he bows to them; he
Ain't quite a colon, but only semi.

Should of been have

Posted Jan 30, 2008 at 08:19 AM by Legs
I don't know what it is, it really doesn't make sense to me but I see it more and more. Maybe I missed something and this is the new spelling, but again it doesn't make sense. People writing things like "He might of been" instead of "He might have".
"I should of been working" instead of "I should have been working".

At first I thought it was a typo, but unless it's some kind of wide spread typo virus, it can't be a simple typo. So...
