My Wish

As I walk down the street
Little drops of rain
Fall and wet my hair.
And all I can do
To keep from screaming
Is to remember
The music that was never played
The song that we never danced to
The kiss we never shared
And the love we let grow
Against our better judgement.
If I saw you now
I think my heart would explode
Because this love
Is not simply wonderful.
But its complexity
Is more glorious than sunshine.
The only way you can disappear
Is if I let you.
And that my dear
Will never happen.
This love...
It's unique.
It's conquering.
It's eternal.
It's us...
Little drops of rain
Fall and wet my hair.
And all I can do
To keep from screaming
Is to remember
The music that was never played
The song that we never danced to
The kiss we never shared
And the love we let grow
Against our better judgement.
If I saw you now
I think my heart would explode
Because this love
Is not simply wonderful.
But its complexity
Is more glorious than sunshine.
The only way you can disappear
Is if I let you.
And that my dear
Will never happen.
This love...
It's unique.
It's conquering.
It's eternal.
It's us...
