Good on Ringo

It's been awhile since we had seen any rebellion against naugty t.v. producers when it comes to artists performing on shows.

Ringo's latest action, while not as provoking, reminded me of when The Doors were on the Sullivan Show performing "Light my fire". As you probably are aware, instead of singing the original line "Girl, we couldn't get much higher." Jim would have to sing ""Girl, we couldn't get much better" which would have been very lame. Fortunatly Jim did sing the original line and ofcourse Ed was not really charmed by this action.

It might be not that dramatic this time around, but I say good on Ringo for walking out on Regis. You either let an artist peform the whole song the way it was written and recorded or don't invite him at all.

He showed dignity, which is rather rare in today's showbusiness. Plus if they were going to interview him Larry King-style (with questions a-la "is it true that you sang 'Yellow Submarine'") he would have been just perfectly bored.
