This is a message for the young people use use this forum that have this problem...

Please, please, PLEASE use punctuation when writing in this forum. It really isn't hard to use . , ' ! or ?. They're very simple to use and makes life a LOT easier. This is what happens when you don't use punctuation...

-Punctuation is not used, and makes the message very difficult to understand.
-Because of this, the older people have trouble reading it, and take longer on the internet.
-This means more time on the internet.
-This increases their phone bill to a greater extent to what it usually is.
-To pay the huge bill, their pensions are all used up.
-No money means to heating.
-Without heating, then the older people die of hypothermia.

So please. Without punctuation, you're killing off the older users.

Personally, i doubt that every single young person here are the culprits. I don't think i have the worst punctuation, and i also doubt that anyone is going to die of hypothermia this week. Well whatever...

While puctuation and capitalization of initial letters and proper nouns are what I expect to see when I read, I've read enough variety of things that I can adapt...

however i would appreciate a break between thoughts

like this

then i can automatically supply any punctuation i require

i can get the gist of what you're saying this way

okey-dokey?

Because puncuation is so simple, and people have such a better time understanding when it is there, what would be the problem with using it? It is so rewarding knowing that people don't struggle to read what you have to say.

I'M MAD AT THE JOKE!

Not really, but I'm not saying that all of the young 'uns do it, just a couple, occasionally.

SleepyHead-I do fear that I am the culpirt. I always have been bad at paragraphing. I am quite sorry! I WILL try harder!

And while I feel that Harbidge has dragged this out entirely to much, I have never had a problem with punctuation!!!!!!!!!!

I just happen to be a high-school English teacher. Let's hear it for punctuation and the correct usage of: your/you're; their/there/they're; to/too/two, and so on!!

Sorry! You're right, it is backwards. But even if you think that it is easy to read with no puncuation, please use it, as some people have trouble! It really does simplify things.

so please use puncuation because it is polite to do so and i dont know why it has become such a debate it isnt that hard to use puncuation but it is hard to read and please use some sort of way to differenciate between thoughts becuase otherwise it is also confusing read the following i like to go to the zoo and watch dolphins and buy balloons i like to eat pizza it is yummy

see how it can be?

I also don't understand why everyone has to give such a hard time about using punctuation. It's just a couple extra keys to type...no big deal, right???? I realize some of you may not care about punctuatuion at all, and therefore may fail English, making Original Fan quite sad. The point is, that people here would really appreciate it if you used punctuation. Please!!!!

That's right! Punctuation is important in the way we communicate with each other. Why stop at every stop sign, why not every other one.Maybe because IT'S THE WAY INTELLIGENT PEOPLE WERE TAUGHT TO COMMUNICATE.People pass on the right(left in England),have 20 items in a 7 or less checkout line and numerous other things because they just don't care.Well I care.
