Has anyone seen the Absolut Vodka ad with the famous (infamous?) picture of John and "Her", backs to the camera, naked?? Does she have no shame?? How much money does she need, to now be using their images to sell liquor?? Anyone as outraged as I am?? The ad is in the Rolling Stone(!!!!) "Rock 'n Roll Yearbook" issue.

There was a thread in What Goes On,"John In Vodka Ad",about this.
I see nothing poor in using the back shot,I do not care for the image being used as such, but I do not have anything against Yoko.

Y'all are missing the point. There's nothing "artsy" about this, SHE'S ALLOWING THE USE OF JOHN'S IMAGE YO SELL VODKA!!!! It is absolutely (no pun intended) outrageous!!

Yes, but you must realize that John would have gone for this as well! He was pretty outrageous himself.

Yes, John was outrageous, and that's what I've loved about him. However, to use any kind of photo of him to sell vodka just doesn't mesh well with me. JMHO, of course.

To respond to the question:it is not the photo that John would be against, but the use of his image for commercial use. Perhaps Yoko went too far for a dollar this time.
The ad did get our attention, however unflattering the photo might be, which would deem it a success.

Don't be mean and hurtful, it's not nice and it's certainly not Beatley!!
Wish people would get on with their own lives and leave her alone, maybe what she did about John's estate true but it maybe not either, so believe everything you hear unless you know her personally of course!!!!

It could be like what Jacko is doing with the Beatles catalog (Yoko might have sold the rights to this picture a long time ago ano longer has any say in the matter...)
